Five Ten Kestrel Pro Boa Shoes

I was looking for a riding shoe with a recessed cleat. These are frequently used by mountain bike riders but I use them on my road bike with dual platform pedals which allow me to pedal unclipped while on the street vs. trail. Traditional road bike shoes/cleats are not recessed making it difficult to get off your bike and walk around, enter a store or restaurant. However, a newer feature on road shoes is the “boa” lacing system for infinite adjustment of tightness of lacing. This feature is hard to find on a traditional mountain bike shoe. This shoe possesses the best attributes of both types; recessed cleat and boa lacing system. Super comfortable and perfectly functional for my needs. Love these shoes!
