XD700/5 is ideal for a complete audiophile-grade, subwoofer + four satellite system, and it fits comfortably in just about any vehicle. With this incredible little amplifier, you can drive two pairs of quality component speaker systems with plenty of clean power (75 W x 4 @ 4 ?), while also delivering a stout 300 W of power to a subwoofer system. The breakthrough that makes this much power possible in such a small chassis is our NexD switching design. The XD700/5 includes a 12 dB / octave high-pass filter for one main channel pair, a 12 dB octave high-pass or bandpass filter for the other main channel pair, plus a variable slope low-pass filter for its subwoofer channel. All three filters offer continuously variable cutoff frequency selection from 50-500 Hz. This amplifier's filters can also be configured as a true 3-way crossover, with a low-pass filter for the subwoofer channel, a bandpass filter on Ch. 3 & 4, and a high-pass filter on Ch. 1 & 2. An "x10" multiplier switch on the Ch. 1 & 2 high-pass filter allows its cutoff frequency to be adjusted from 50-500 Hz or 500-5000 Hz. With the addition of an HD-RLC remote level control (sold separately), the amplifier's subwoofer channel level or overall level can be directly controlled from the driver's seat. This amplifier features a black powder-coat finish and a gasketed, brushed aluminum cover for the controls.

Bang For Buck
I own a micro vehicle, Suzuki Swift 08 model...Space really is an issue here...So I ordered this amp, not only for the price, but definitely the dimensions. It sat comfortably under my passenger seat, together with the LC6i Line conditioner from Audio Control side by side without any issue.I married the equipment with my OEM stereo, as I didn't want to loose the funcitonality of my on steering controls...It drives 2 Pioneer 6 x 9's, 2 Pioneer 6.5 inch component door speakers, 2 JL Audio micro tweeters, and one Pioneer 10 inch flat mount driver mounted in a slim box designed within the required displacement specs, down facing so I still have trunk space...This thing rocks! I cant run this more than 2/3rds of the power, for fear I may shatter a window...I previously had a Clarion 5 channel amp installed, with a similar speaker set up, but distortion would kick in with the little extra notch up on the volume.Guaranteed I will be purchasing this for my truck and the wife's new SUV...(Just in case I gotta drive it)...I recommend this to anyone who wants a little knock with out the knock out the wallet...

Outstanding Amp.
I used this amp to replace a complete Bose audio system in a 07 Porsche cayman because the Bose speakers are 2 ohms each and the 2 subwoofers are 1 ohm which went in series ended up in 2 ohms also, coupled to a Pioneer stereo using RCA inputs made the Bose system cry tears, this amp is the smallest I have seen with so many watts, I only have the input gains at 1/4 and it is plenty loud and sounds like you're in a concert, crisp highs and awesome lows, I would recommend this amp to anyone for great sound and or for space saving, Thanks JL Audio for a great product but your Customer Service is in dire need of severe improvement..

Rock solid.
I've had it installed for a month now and it's passed the infant mortality test. When used with JL Audio Clean Sweep this sounds awesome. Very clean, very quiet even in the noisy environment of a pickup I can hear details I've missed listening at home. It can play very loud. The controls are versatile enough to accommodate the lousy music environment that is pick-up trucks. Stays cool even after extended session at volume. The remote volume control is a must have, otherwise you could pick-up stray electrical noises because basically you're running the amp (usually located in the back) at full volume throttling it with your head unit located in the dash, that long lead of wire will pick up noise at low volumes. The remote allows you to keep the head unit turned up above the noise floor while you throttle the amp instead. Very fine build quality, machined out of a solid billet of aluminum, good tech support (I had some questions on the turn-on wiring scheme). If you are using your stock head from the factory (I don't care how much the dealer changed, or how much your car cost, they are all junk) JL Audio's "Clean Sweep" is a must. If you are using a good quality aftermarket head from Pioneer/Kenwood/Sony chances are you could skip the extra cost. Factory car stereos taylor the sound for the crappy speakers they put in them, that's why you have the use the Clean Sweep. Like me your factory head also does your phone, navigation, trip computer, steering wheel controls... way too many functions to find a drop-in replacement for. They do it on purpose to sell you the $5,000 'up graded' stereo

It's so small!
This amp is amazingly small. My previous sound system used a 4-channel Eclipse amp, which took up the entirety of the space under the driver's seat. This 5-channel amp takes up less than half of that footprint, with the same thickness! I honestly can't fathom how they fit so much power in such a small space. Talk about efficient power!Very clean and elegant aesthetic to the unit, I will definitely be building an amp display for this. The install is excellent as well - the silver plate covers the tuning controls and overhangs the wire hookups by a bit. Panel is removable by 2 hex screws which share the same key size as my MOMO shift knob set screws - handy.I haven't gone through their 9-step tuning process yet (This process matches the input gain to output voltage), but even with just playing around with the input gains to what sounds about right, I'm impressed. There is a crossover on each bank of speakers, with adjustable HP / LP filters AND falloff rate!Even thought it has a single subwoofer channel, it has 2 speaker hookups to accommodate clean installs of multiple subs in parallel. Note you CAN'T bridge those channels. They are simply duplicates of the same hookup. All that is well and good - but how does it sound? My setup includes Focal Integration ic130's up front and ic165 rears with a 10" Memphis M5 dvc 4ohm run in parallel @ 2ohm, hooked up to a Clarion OEM head unit from a first-gen Mazda RX-7 with 9-band EQ and hacked-in auxiliary input. The guys at the audio shop were very skeptical of the factory head unit, saying I was for sure going to want to replace it. After I plugged in the subwoofer and turned up the volume, they ate their words. Unreal. This thing slams out power and stays quite reasonably cool. It can push these speakers to beyond-tolerable volumes without a lick of distortion. In summary - I'm blown away. If I could give this amp 7 stars I would. Hands down the best money you can spend on an amp. It was a toss-up between this and the hd900. No need. Look no further than the "add to cart" button on the top right of this screen. One installation note: I had to install a relay on the 12v remote line, as its drawing too much amperage through the factory head unit and popping the internal fuses. Easy fix.

Great Product!
This is a genuine product. My local dealer was trying to feed me some bull about only using an authorized dealer. They are only authorized to raise the price in my opinion. This was cheaper and exactly the same product. Highly recommend!!

Great Amp
Has enough power for my Dodge Ram Quad Cab. Driving a Polk Dxi104SVi, JL TR525-CXi and Polk DB691. Great features, solid unit. Get the remote cable/control to adjust Subwoofer volume. I used the JL Audio Calibration CD to adjust the levels.

incredibly small
For better or for worse, this amp is laughably small. It produces great power. Be sure you know the size before you order it because its smaller than you think.
