Q: When I hook these up why does my amp probe stop working. For some reason they do not like these extensions they work without them.

It could be because of the added length. The very low voltage (we’re talking millivolts or even nanovolts) in the circuit that powers the probe might not be strong enough to compensate for the added cable length. I might be wrong (wouldn’t surprise my wife), but that’s the first thing that comes to my mind.

Q: Amp clamp won't work with them ?

These are just extensions for existing test leads (with the same connection) to your multimeter or possibly your amp clamp. Look at your “ends” of your leads and compare to the pictures for compatibility. If they are 4mm connectors you’re good to go!
