I blind bought this a couple days ago and it just arrived. I like gardenia but it’s not like I’m a gardenia lover, so I wasn’t sure what to expect from this, but I am so glad I took a chance. I got a very light whiff of gardenia on that initial spritz and then I smell honeysuckle. It smells like open windows on a spring day and the light breeze gently carries the scent of springtime into your home. I’m not sure that this would be a safe blind… It is definitely not an overpowering gardenia scent. This is more like a gentle whisper of spring. A very light sweet soap sent. But for me after that initial spritz all I smell is tuberose. And unfortunately, for me that is one of my least favorite scents. I was really hoping for that creamy sultry Gardenia mixed with some yummy delicious coconut. But, on my skin and in my nose, All I get is tuberose. Bummer. Maybe someone in my family will like it and if not, it will be a lovely air freshener.In case anyone is wondering why I gave it five stars because it is a very lovely fragrance. It’s just not for me personally.

I love the narcotic, buttery scent of white florals—just yum. But they don’t come cheap. And the cheap don’t smell good. This is the exception.I’ve loved Jovan’s Island Gardenia since high school, which makes it a pretty dang enduring love). For my money, it’s the purest, most nuanced gardenia you can find for under 20 bucks. It’s just delicious and it lasts for hours. If you love your gardenia straight up, you really can never go wrong with Jovan.

Took me back to the 70s. Fresh, light, just like I remember. Lot a long lasting fragrance, but really nice for the price

It's not like the Gardenia of bye gone days, but it's a lovely short lived fragrance. I'll have to live with it a while to know if I will purchase it again.

Just like I remembered from the 80’s. Brings back memories of Summer days tanning with baby oil & cruising in cars at night with a sunburn/radio blasting. Great times!

This used to smell really fresh and not loud. But this particular bottle was barely a tiny spritz on my wrist and rubbed them together. The accent wa very heavy and smelled old. It would not leave off my skin even after washing, and it made me sick and get a headache. Very stinky strong. In the past it was a nice fresh gardenia scent that would fade out just right! This is going to the dump for giveaways! What’s waste of money.

Does it smell like gardenia? Yes, mostly. It’s about 90% gardenia, 5% vanilla and 5% musk. Overall, this is better or as good as many gardenia perfumes worth hundreds of dollars - which I’ve tried most of. Will I purchase again? Absolutely. Does it last? 2/3 of the day. The bottle is a nice quality and the spray works great. (I’m 35 and this doesn’t smell old lady like.)
