Holy Bible (1611 KJV with Direct Verse Jump) Kindle Edition

aside from the book, I want to make a comment about the formatting of this particular version of the bible, which should be a guide for all ebook publishers..the table of contents page in this volume (as it is for the kindle itself, I have a keyboard model personally) is so well thought out and fuctional it has kind of made me dislike most ebooks of large size bacuase no one else takes the time to do this the way they did..the chapters are in small numbers under the book, in a right to left row, rather than all being straight down, making the table of contents only a few pages rather than a volume unto itself.I have a ebook compiler, I use Jutoh personally, which doesn't do a table of contents this way, in Jutoh the table of contents would be 100 pages long probably.at first I thought it really terrible that they would charge 5$ for a electronic edition, but after working in Jutoh I almost beleive they made the table of contents by hand, which is actually the best table of contents I have seen in a ebook).all the formatting aside, This version of the bible is the closest available to the sepaugtint in english.the old english wording makes one slow down and it causes you to think more about what you are reading, there is no better way to read the bible than that, you gain the most from that practice in itself.be aware that in old english like this that U and V are interchangable, as are I and J and also s and f, there is also a symbol for and.if you can wrap your head around that and digest this, you will be better of than reading a different version.this is of course my very favorite ebook.try it, I think you will agree.can't recommend this version enough.

I enjoyed this very much. Right on with my four facsimiles. One thing I didn't like is that the "modern" S was used...not the middle english "S". It was used in the "to the reader", but not within the Bible. Overall...a great Bible!

You can never really give this book a rating because this book is in a class of its own. It's above All books and ratings and it is in deed a GPS TO HEAVEN.. The Bible gives you directions to the place you want to go whether it is heaven or hell.. The Bible teaches you the right path BUT IF YOU DON'T OBEY THE LAWS OF THE BIBLE, THEN IT WILL SHOW YOU THE PATH TO HELL. So the Bible is a GPS. It navigate you to go in the right direction. If you follow the right instructions of the Bible, YOUR DESTINATION IS FOUND ! THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN....

This is one of the best 1611 edition KJV Bible that is on Amazon right now. I have used this very often on my iPad 2 and I'm quite pleased with the direct verse jump. The only thing that puzzles me is the display on the iPad 2. On the iPad 2 the abbreviations next to each verse are upside down and white. This is not a major problem and doesn't hinder the operation of the Bible. Overall, I recommend this to anyone searching for a Bible to use with their electronic device.

Very beautiful old English!But WHY DID THE ITALICS STOP AT GENESIS 36? THE ITALICS ARE VERY IMPORTANT AS THEY SHOW WHICH WORDS WERE ADDED BY THE TRANSLATORS THAT WERE NOT IN THE ORIGINAL LANGUAGES. :(

Now I'm not a KJV purist as I firmly believe that any translation is going to have errors simply because you cannot have two distinct languages perfectly the same. Yet the KJV remains as one of the best translations ever done. Yet the English in this book is quite old and many of the words have changed meanings since the time it was written. And I know for a fact that there are some translation errors. But the KJV has taught me, inspired me, and thrilled me on my walk with God.

Excellent Bible. Love the direct access to verses you want to get to right away. I recommend this Bible to ALL.

Its perfect, I love reading the 1611 version. I dont always read it because its sort of hard to read but definitely a good buy for the price.

I can’t express how happy I am to have found this true and loyal version of the KJV 1611 Bible at last! This kindle edition has direct verse jump and includes the Apocrypha as well! 🙏

I have not yet had time to validate accuracy everything in this book however I have not found any inaccuracies so far. I wish more ebooks had this navigation format for browsing or reading ebooks.

I bought one earlier that was advertised as 1611. Turned out to be the 1769 version. This one is the real deal! It is ye olde Englishe! Yesss!!!
