BRASS Accents A09-P0834-628MAG 8" x 34" Kick Plate Polished Gold-Aluminum Magnetic Mount,

We recently built a 12' x 16' foot storage building and wanted to "dress it up" so that it didn't look so plain. The Brass Accents 8" x 34" Kick Plates (polished aluminum, brass finish, magnetic mount) really increased the curb appeal. We ordered two kick plates and they were shipped promptly and were very well packaged. They arrived in flat boxes and attached to a hardboard backing material to keep them from being bent. In addition, they came wrapped in thick paper and boxed inside heavy duty cardboard. Once removed from the packaging, the kick plate's brass front had a removable plastic covering that is best left on until they are installed. As far as the installation process, the magnetic mount worked great on our steel doors. In fact, try to center them the first time because we had to use a putty knife to break the magnetic grip in order to re-position one of the kick plates. They adhere very well, are shiny, and match the doorknob finish. We are so pleased we just ordered a third kick plate for our front door. Nice product and looks high end in appearance...like the "real" brass kick plates that are $150 each!03/03/2020 UPDATE: Just ran across my kickplate review from 2018. The two kickplates on our storage building, as well as one on our front door, still look good. Other than an occasional cleaning with a mild soap and water we have done nothing to them. No crazing, discoloration or rust. Still pleased with our purchase!

Worked flawlessly on my metal front door. Attached easily. Had to reposition it a few times to line up straight but it works well. Had the house pressure washed afterward and it held tight. I would buy again if needed.

Perfect or my front door. Magnet is very strong so far, it's been up for two weeks but I don't expect that to be a problem. The first order arrived scratched, but it was quickly replaced.

As you can see from the before and after photos the kick plate looks great. We had the doorway repainted but it was missing something. The addition of the kick plate makes it POP. The shipping was great. They had it packaged very well to protect from damage. I was surprised there was actually a hard piece of wood material in there to keep it from bending. Worked like a charm, no damage during shipping.I would highly recommend this product.

First plate arrived damaged and had to be returned. Was quite surprised at how flimsy the packing was for a product at this price. The replacement product was packed entirely different and was in fact a bit of a struggle to get the packing undone. Great packing and the plate was perfect! I'm guessing the first one was returned by someone else and it was just reshipped to me. In the end, love the kick plate and it really dresses up our front door.

Great addition to any steel door. Not only dresses it up but keeps it protected from kick marks...it's my 3rd one!
