Leaks
I Bought two, both leak. one around the frame where it attaches to the tank the other leaks by the pump. When you try to get replacement parts they are obscenely priced. The one that needed a new pump is $106.00 plus shipping for just the pump and that's if you can find one. I bought these because of the review that they were so good. They were $165.00 per sprayer and pieces of junk. SP products doesn't even make it possible to buy replacement parts for the junk they make. Stay away from their products. Buy a solo brand instead. The replacement price for one of their pumps is $26 should you have to replace it And you can buy them almost anywhere. I got soaked twice on this purchase from SP products. First I bought two of them for $165.00 each and a second time when all the poison that I was spraying leaked all over my back and pants. They will never see another dollar from me again!

Quality Backpack Sprayer
This is a compact unit and is built to last. It is expensive in comparison to other sprayers, but the components that comprise this sprayer are all made of durable materials and very strong. First, my unit came without instructions or a user manual. There is nothing complicated about using the sprayer, but it would have been helpful if an instruction manual was provided to instruct the user about how to silicone grease the fittings that are supposed to be lubricated, recommended maintenance and care, and of course, how to order parts for this sprayer (parts diagram and parts number). From top to bottom: The sprayer has a very good blue twist cap, which also acts as a carrying handle. This was important to my purchasing decision. The plastic container is solid, hard, and rather thick so you know it should not crack or warp. The metal components are mostly stainless steel and again very solid and strong, including the pump handle. The carrying straps are comfortable and nylon-like so you know they will last and seem to not absorb liquid easily so it stays rather dry and does not stretch out. The brass sprayer rod is heavy duty and not flexible or flimsy. This sprayer is well engineered and built to last. Sure you need to pump the sprayer as you spray, but this is better than the smaller hand-held two-gallon sprayers that you need to constantly put down to pump and refill. Glad I purchased this backpack sprayer. It makes spraying the weeds much easier and quicker and enjoyable. The hardest part of using this sprayer is putting the sprayer on your back when it is full. I fill it to about the 3-gallon mark. Oh, the four-stars instead of five-stars rating is because there was no manual or instructions for this sprayer and the price is double of what other sprayers cost, but this is a quality sprayer and time will tell whether I got my monies worth. Also, when I googled this manufacturer's website, they did not list this sprayer, so they may have discontinued making these sprayers. You'll need to confirm, if this is a consideration towards your purchasing decision.

Leak problems with the sp1 and NO support
I got one season out of my sp1 before the "O" ring leaked. Taking it apart was very difficult, but not half as bad as trying to get the lousy little rubber "O" ring. No answer on any of their phones, no answer or disconnected lines on their supplier's phones. I found one supplier who was out of stock on the ring, but even they would charge $12 shipping on a rubber band that weighed a fraction of an ounce! In the meantime I killed a lot of my lawn grass, not knowing that the sprayer was leaking from the back as I sprayed in the landscaping. Find a better manufacturer than SP systems!

Great backpack prevent the leaks
This is the best back pack on the market. Down side is getting replacement parts. For all you people out there that have leak problems you may have caused it by putting acidified adjuvant in it. Acids will destroy the rubber in this sprayer not just this one any diaphragm pump.
