What is the difference between 8x42 & 10x42

10x magnification versus 8x magnification. If you're bird-watching, hunting, etc., 10x is better. If you're watching a football game, needing low light capability, or genersl-purpose observation, e.g., standing watch on a ship 8x is better.

Yes it does. It is a soft case.

Do these work with eye glasses or do I need to remove my glasses to look through them?

Usually eye relief of 11mm or more works good for people with glasses. This one has 17mm eye relief. So this one should be okay. Again, this is theoretical and personal comfort needs to be taken into account.
