Saves time, fits great, and works. Just make sure to pick the right one.
This was a lifesaver. It is small enough to fit in the limited space I had to remove the filter through. The closest thing to a problem was the replacement filter didn't fit it. That was not the tool's fault. Manufacturers should start putting the size/number of faces in the filter description. I have now ordered a whole set of them so I am ready for any project.

Just buy it
Buy it, it's cheap. I think Harley charges like $30-$50 or something crazy for this thing. I bet it's probably from the same manufacturer anyways. It's decently hard to ensure tightness without this little gut and you risk scratching your chrome filter. Worked as it should and got it nice and secure without damaging. Aside from the debt I put in it before buying it. Fit really snug as well. Stop reading reviews and giving yourself a headache. Just buy it. Seriously if you keep reading this and haven't bought it your not going to. Buy it fool. BUY ITTTTTTTTTTT. Thanks for coming to Ted talk reviews.

Works Great
Attached to wrench, removed filter w/o issue, not much else to say. Works great.

It worked okay and was on my doorstep as promised.
The KiWav BMW oil filter wrench does work on the R9T Scrambler, both in removing the Mahle (dealer installed) and fitting the OEM BMW filter. However it will try to slip if upward pressure is not held tightly during remove and install procedure. The cap wrench appears to be die struck and is ever so slightly oversized. Will likely try the billet tool and keep this one as a spare.

Made the job super easy - used it with the MAHLE filter and swapped it in less than one minute! Tools make the job!

Yes this does fit BMW filters.
This does fit BMW filters, it just depends on who makes the filter. I have a '14 RT. When I put a Mahle filter on in the past I needed a 76mm x 14. I've used HiFlo filters before and it used that same 76mm x 14 but they must have changed their design because this time that size filter wrench didn't work, I needed to buy this one. I even called the company and they said the OEM filter wrench should work, it did not. The difference is the number of flutes, 14 vs 12 but you also have to look at the filter. If it has flat sides, count them, if it's 14 then this wrench won't work. If it has 12 sides, are they flat or are they vertical grooves? If they're flat, this one won't work. If they're vertical grooves then this one should work. It was perfect for the HiFlo HF 164 I just installed. It seems well made and I expect it to be around longer than me and I would recommend it.

WORKED GREAT
Needed for my 2013 BMW 1200 GSA. It fit perfect and was way less expensive than buying it from BMW. I only needed this tool for a one time use because the BMW shop only installs BMW oil filters. I'm changing the oil myself this time and switching over to a K&N K-164 filter that has a nut welded to the filter making it super easy to remove. K&N good stuff.
