Listen, I am a Traeger fan, but this was too good a product to pass up. Super value based on the size/price. I will continue buying. It gave great smoke and everyone has complimented the taste.

I've been using a smoker for the last 6 years but I'm lazy which is why I've been using pellet smokers. during my learning process I've used a lot of different pellets and I've (for now) settled on Bear Mountain. My family and I have noticed a better smoked flavor when I use these pellets, which is whats it all about. All of this is subjective, but from my families and my experience, we prefer the taste of Bear Mountain's pellets.

used it to smoke salmon. delicious! I have a traeger and worried because they always say only use traeger pellets. so I used the traeger peleets in the actual firebox and used the alder pellets in the smoking tube that I put in the actual grill with the fish

This work great in my Reqtec 590. Even heat, no ups and downs. I've used them with chicken, pork, steak, and brisket. 100% would recommend.

Man does some smoked brisket sound good right about now, maybe some pulled pork or baby back ribs, am I right? OOOh yeah. Not all wood is created equally, maybe grown equally? Who knows. These woods have a high rating for a reason. A couple reasons, they smolder at the right temps, no need to try and dry out or soak them, last one being silly if you do this regardless. The taste is spot on. Hickory comes through absolutely great. You know that lovely pink circles of smoked meats? Yes every time! Honestly I am a big fan. I have been smoking foods for about 12 years now and I do believe this is the best company I have come across. Mind you I am comparing this to big branch chain stores like lowes, depot, and so forth. I cannot comment on fresh wood as I have yet been able to get ahold of such a unicorn. So as far as getting a product from a company, this brand seriously delivers. Great taste!

I’ve been smoking food for a long time using pellets/ chips and a combination of both and I’m very pleased with these Bear Mountain smoking pellets they burn slowly and evenly and don’t need constant attention. The taste is excellent I’ve just finished a batch of bacon, cheese, garlic and trout fillets and the flavour is excellent. Would recommend and is excellent value for money.

I have done a fair bit of experimenting on my Traeger pellet grill and settled on Bear Mountain as one of my favourite pellets. They seem to burn very well with low dust and pellet fragment content, I sieve all my pellets before use using a small garden sieve which was a tip given to me by an American BBQ judge. This 40lb bag represents exceptional value for money, plus the fact that I have had problems sourcing a supply of Bear Mountain in the UK, the bag arrived quickly and undamaged so it is good to have a reliable UK source. The only minor gripe is that I ordered Oak and received Gourmet Blend which is Oak, Maple, Hickory and Cherry I seem to remember. However the bottom line is Gourmet Blend and Oak are pretty much interchangeable for my needs notwithstanding I already had Gourmet Blend in stock and actually wanted Oak! This accounts for the 4/5 stars but otherwise very happy.

Just bought a Traeger pellet BBQ and these seem good quality and reasonably priced
