I wear size 50 in jeans will 3xl fit me?

My husband wears a size 42. I bought the 2xl and he couldn’t get them past his knees. The 3xl would be for a 38” waist.

They fit good but are a little long for my legs. Can I shrink them by washing in warm/hot water and putting them in the dryer?

I doubt it, washed mine n didn't notice any shrinking

i am 5'5, @ 140 lbs. the chart says im medium and usually wear a med .the length seems fine but how is the fit? are they fitted or a nice loose fit?

I'm 6 2 185 lb. I have bother medium and large sizes. The medium are snug around my thighs when I sit down. They don't fall off my hips as easy as my large without being tied.

I weigh 205lbs and wear waist size 36 very successfully, any size suggestions for me??

I don't know how all these size answers on here are so skewed. I'm a 34". On the advice from others here I ordered XL. WAY too large. I had to return them for medium which are perfect. They have a stretch waist, so unless you have a huge kaboose, and are 32" to 34" get the medium size. Any bigger waist from 36" - 38", go for large.
