Highly effective and easy to use. No more snaking drains!
This tub shroom is truly amazing! I have long, thick, hair that falls out in huge amounts when I wash it. Prior to getting a tub shroom, I was using a drain hair catcher, but a lot of hair was still getting by it, Consequently, water began backing up in my tub every few months, and I had to keep snaking the drain which is disgusting, time consuming and inconvenient. Since I purchased the tub shroom several months ago, I am happy to say that I have not had to snake my drain once! It is insanely effective at trapping not only hair, but soap scum and shaving cream, which can also clog drains. It’s super easy to install. Although I do not enjoy cleaning it (because a mass of hair and soap scum is gross), it only takes a few minutes to clean and is very easy to remove and put back. Plus, it’s much less gross, easier and faster to clean it than snake my drain! The tub shroom is made of rust resistant stainless steel and has a removable rubber ring on the bottom, which helps it mold to the size of whatever drain you put it in. It’s quite sturdy/durable and easy to clean. I am such a fan of this product, that I purchased sink shrooms for my whole house and hope to never have to snake a drain again! For maximum efftiveness, I recommend using the tub shroom along with a standard drain hair catcher, as that will double the chances that no hair or gunk will make it down your drain.

Shrooms are good!
Love the tub shroom. Fits in the drain and catches the excess hair. Easy to remove and clean. No tools needed.

Great hair catcher!
Really works. So easy to install. Easy to take out to clean. So much cheaper than hiring a plumber to help with slow bathtub drain, which I have had to do. Great price too!

Does the job, but clogs easily
I purchased the TubShroom Ultra Stainless Steel Hair Catcher in 2022 to address frequent bathtub drain clogs caused by hair accumulation. This product lasted about less than a year for me before I threw it away. Regular maintenance, about two to three times a week, has kept my drains clear and free from clogs for the most part. The shape of the hair catcher didn’t fit well with my drain, which caused a lot of difficulty with maintaining it.Pros• Captures hair, preventing drain clogs• Easy to install and remove for cleaning• Durable stainless steel construction resists rust and moldCons• Requires regular cleaning to maintain effectiveness• May not fit all drain types without modification• Hair accumulation can become visible if not cleaned frequentlyRecommended For• Individuals with long hair or households with multiple occupants• Users who prefer a reusable and eco-friendly alternative to chemical drain cleanersNot Recommended For• Individuals unwilling to perform regular maintenance• Drains with non-standard sizes or designs that may not accommodate the TubShroom without adjustments

Easy to install & works well
The media could not be loaded. Great item. Works well. We’ve only had it for a short time. Over time with multiple removals & cleaning I suspect the bottom rubber seal may wear out but no problems so far. Also when installed it is well above the bottom of the tub. Not a problem for us but I am sure small kids would find it interesting and try to figure it out during bath time. Those are the only issues I found. That being said, I think this is a good ideal with a really great design. Does not interfere with with our drain stopper so we don’t have to remove to use the tub for a bath. Works great at catching hair from going down & plugging the drain when using the shower as well as for a bath. Also good to keep jewelry from accidentally going in the drain. We have granddaughter staying with us while attending college. She has long fine hair which plugged the drain after 1 year of use. Cost $250 to get a plumber out to clear it which is why we got this unit. I don’t think we will have that issue any more with this in place so it is well worth the money.Great design - easy to install & stops hair from going down the drain. Wish I had it a year ago & highly recommend you give it a try.

Works very well! Saving my drains
Love it! It sucks to clean but at least I know all that mess isn’t going down my drains. Works very well. Even with short dog hair when I give my dog a bath

Works great & easy to clean
First, a hint on cleaning - toothbrush! I tried pulling hair off by hand (ugh), and with a paper towel, TP etc, but it just didn't grab it. Then I found an unused sample toothbrush floating around and tried that. It works great! The bristles easily dislodge the hair from the perforated portion as well as the little "saucer" area and sweep them into a clump. Now the review: it works great! My tub originally had a flat disc with holes in it that worked well for several years. Well, it accumulated clumps of hair on the surface but I think a lot more got through causing eventual buildups . I'd seen the Tubshrooms several years ago, but there were complaints about the silicone getting nasty. I already had a kitchen sink drain/strainer that was silicone and didn't want to go through that, so didn't buy it. Fast forward and now there is a stainless steel one! I jumped on that and am happy that I did.It does collect the hair. I have shortish hair (ladies' pixie type) that is thinning. I find that after 4-5 showers, the drain gets sluggish and the water level rises.. So when I get done, I pop it out and clean it with my handy toothbrush and whoosh, my fast drain is back, making happy burbles.Happy with my purchase so far and would buy again if needed.

Easy installation and catches all the stuff!
I've had other hair catchers that just sat on top of the drain, and sometimes, it felt like maybe it impeded how the water was draining. Once switching to this, the water drains well and catches all the hair. I've found that you'll need to check it at least every 2-3 days to clear out the hair, product scum, and other things that get caught in it. Very good product and gets the job done!
