When we installed this battery initially we had reading of 255% battery level and that the laptop was charging yet was not plugged in. We ran dell troubleshooting and couldn't come up with a solution. I called Amazon tech support who were amazing and offered a simple solution that worked and that was to turn off the laptop take the battery out and put the battery back in and it worked. it just needs to register that it doesn't have a battery and then when you put the new battery in it will register the new battery without dells chip. This battery is fantastic and the price point is great. 10 out of 10 will buy again if needed.

Had this installed in an old laptop by the Geek Squad at Best Buy. Works great!!

EDIT: Added another star. After writing the review, customer service reached out and offered to send a new battery at no cost. Glad to see that the replacement battery last me about 3 and a half hours per charge. I would purchase another product from ZTHY, because of the customer service.I purchased this battery to replace the original in my Dell G3 3579 (2018). The replacement was simple and as easy as unscrewing the laptop, and unplugging the battery, and replacing. When receiving the package I noticed that one of the screw hooks was broken but that was not an issue when replacing the battery. According to the battery report, after about a month of use, the battery shows 49Wh capacity compared to the 56Wh design capacity. (Was at 32Wh with the original battery) With the replacement battery, I've been able to average 2 hours of use before having to connect, mainly using the web or watching videos. That's about a half an hour increase from the original battery, compared to the 4 hours I was able to get when I first purchased the laptop, which I was expecting to receive with the replacement.

Just replaced this and noticed I bought it 3 years ago. It had been degrading for a while so I’m guessing I got solid 2 years out of it. Not bad for an off brand battery (I’ve typivall 3ish years out of OEM. Since this was a fraction of the one price I am satisfied

I purchased this battery about 10 months ago. A few days ago, it suddenly went dead. It is not like losing capacity slowly, but just went dead suddenly. I lost my work because of it. Now it shows that it still has 90% power, but as long as the power cord is off, my computer goes dead.On Amazon page for this product, it says 1 year replacement warranty, but I went to the web site of the company and it says 6 month replacement and 6 month repair, buyer pays shipping. Inconsistent advertisement!!! In any case, I tried to contact the company (submitted a request on their own web site), there is still no response after 3 days. Very disappointing!!!BTW, I have been very careful in using this battery. Followed the advice in the beginning to boot the battery from around 10% (first time). After that, mostly I use AC adapter and I have never left the battery level drop to below 30% (set my laptop to shut down when it is below 30%). I can only conclude that the battery quality is really low to go fully dead after just 10 months (strange way of going away also).I have been using laptops for a long time and bought third party batteries several times. They all behave properly (in all cases, capacity did go down, but slowly, and lasted more than 2 years till I replaced the laptop). Unfortunately, very few third parties make this 33YDH battery and I made a bad choice in purchasing it.

Battery worked perfectly for 2 months. After that it could no longer power my computer. Once the power cord is disconnected, the computer shuts down with in minutes. After running a diagnostic check, it can no longer power the computer was the error message.

I got this battery to replace the one that came with my 2018 G3 15-3579 for only $40 whereas a new one from Dell was $120. Came with small screwdrivers, was very easy to install and even had 70% charge out of the box. I will update this review after I get a decent amount of use out of it but so far I am happy and would highly recommend!
