The Coconut Secret Story is when both our parents learned they were diabetic, my brother and I were deeply inspired to search the world for pure, raw, truly delicious, low glycemic products. We were rewarded and blessed beyond expectations, in our discovery of the traditional products made from the sap of the wondrous coconut tree. It is our great joy to be able to share with you he gifts of these exceptional ingredients. Leslie and Randy Health Secrets of Coconut Aminos When the coconut tree is tapped, it produces a highly nutrient-rich "sap" that exudes from the coconut blossoms. This sap is raw, very low glycemic, an abundant source of 17 amino acids, minerals, vitamins and has a nearly neutral pH. A comparison between coconut tree sap and soy, shows that coconut sap contains 2-14 times the amino acid content of soy. Small batches ensure that our organic, low glycemic coconut aminos, made from this natural sap, is a raw enzymatically alive product aged and blended with sun-dried, mineral-rich sea salt, hand gathered from pristine waters near the southern islands of the Philippine coast. Recipe Tips Soy-free seasoning alternative for use like soy sauce in sold dressings, marinades, sautes, and with sushi! This delicious product does not have a coconut flavor.

Get ready to add additional flavors
I would not say it tastes just like typical soy sauce, but it is a reasonable substitute particularly if you add in other flavors. I noticed a slightly sweet note - so to balance that sweetness I used more garlic and a touch more salt. If you are avoiding soy, this is a good alternative among few other choices.

Healthier Soy Sauce Alternative
I really like this as a soy sauce substitute. Whether you are soy sensitive, need gluten free or just want to use a healthier product, I recommend this. My son says he can taste that fact that it is from coconuts but I don't really get that flavor profile. It is sweeter than soy sauce and I think works better for certain foods than soy.

Tasty and healthy, what can be better!?
I bought this to use instead of soy sauce. It's obviously not the same thing, but it makes my stir fry's taste amazing, maybe even better than regular soy sauce and definitely not as salty.I bought it while I did the Whole30, but have continued to use it afterwards as well because I like the flavor it gives my food

Love this sauce
Since I don't do soy this is wonderful. Tastes great. It's very pricey but the price came down quite a bit so that helps.

My new favorite sauce! I love this with sauteed cabbage
My new favorite sauce! I love this with sauteed cabbage. It is my go to seasoning for sauteing. (I am on a modified Paleo diet currently.) This is a great replacement for Soy Sauce. It is gluten free and tasty. I do not taste any coconut flavor in this.I will continue to purchase this product.

We love our rice and sushi and recommend this
My husband and I have switched to this product in place of regular soy sauce due to the amount of sodium in soy sauce being astronomical! We love our rice and sushi and recommend this! I haven't tried cooking with it so I can't say how well it does and due to the price I would probably use regular low sodium for cooking and save the "good" stuff for the rice!

A milder, sweeter substitute
I bought this product while doing a Whole30 and now actually prefer it to traditional soy sauce. It's a milder, sweeter taste than soy sauce but still adds a savory element to my Asian dishes.

overpriced and bland
Totally overpriced and bland. Does not even come close to replacing soy sauce. Go to a Whole Foods store if you have one nearby and buy coconut aminos there, for believe it or not a fraction of what you have to shell out on amazon. But as already mentioned its fairly bland. You can make your own soy sauce substitute with using equal amounts of fish sauce and coconut aminos (although not this brand...).
