ParmakHS-100 110-20-Volt Horse Surround Low Impedance Electric Fence Charger

We’ve had many chargers on our farm through the years. But the Parmak Chargers are the ones that last and last. This little charger is no exception. I’m running it inside a sterlite plastic container with a hole in the bottom for wires and AC power because it has to be outdoors to work on the termporary pens where it is installed. It’s working wonderfully. There is an audible ticking sound which is a great deterrent to the animals. This littlecharger is respected by my full size goats and livestock guardians. The ticking sound is picked up by my foscam wifi security cameras and does cause a slight interference noticable only during night vision. I don’t feel like it interferes with the cameras functionality though.

This product in made in America and is backed by a company that has been around since 1921 not like some of the other phonies out there. I purchased an outdoor model and cannot say enough about its simplicity and rugged design; I have experienced years of use with similar products and expect the same from this one. Smart decision.

I bought this in the late summer of 2012. It's still going strong. I bought this at a really great price and I am really pleased that it works so well. We actually have it outside near a small paddock. My husband made a house to go around it so, it wouldn't get ruined.

Not enough power to keep a hamster caged.I replace my ten year old charger with this one. This one is supposed to be more powerful. Very little out put. I went to tractor supply bought a $39 replacement. Works like a champ.Now Amazon tells me I’ll have to negotiate a return with the seller. What crock!

Would work maybe for pets. Bought for small goats and they will stand with the wire laying on their nose and not realize the fence is on. I only had a 600ft fence hooked to this fencer (w/ high-tensile wire, good ground rod). I touched the fence myself and the zap was very minimal.

The place I board at has this for 2 3acre plots, and another one for a 2 acre plot, and it dpes absolutely nothing. My horse honestly only stays inside the fence if there is grass inside of it, if not she walks right through the wire. Now, since I did not install the charger or the fencing I cant say for certain why this is. Maybe it doesnt have enough grounding, or maybe the electrifier sucks. But the charge isnt traveling very far down the fence. Where there is a decent charge (in the first couple feet of fencing) it delivrrs a decent shock, but just a few feet later and you cant feel anything. I should mention that the guy who owns the place is an electrician by trade, so it *should* be installed properly, however he is a very lazy and flaky man, soooo, who knows.
