Premium Authentic Fiori di Sicilia Product of Italy 100% Essential Oil of Citrus Fruits 2 oz

Adds a lovely depth to baked goods. I bought this on a partial whim because my daughter is into baking and I read an article. It just added oomph to a vanilla cake she made that is hard to describe without being overbearing or too floral as you sometimes get with other of these flavors (of course we went easy on it as advised). Those who say they use it as perfume? I can well believe it. It smells lovely.Basically, a lot of savory food is much better if you get the umami flavor taken care of, well this is the sweet version of that effect, the background flavor that binds everything together.

I used it in an amaretto, raspberry cake.

This is my honest experience with this... now it can be yours.I was a little skeptical at first about buying this extract. I had been using King Arthur’s for years. But I was curious. If Oliveri created the original Fiori di Sicilia and this is it, then it ought to be good. Make no mistake, it is exceptional. Actually, it is the best version of this essence that I have ever tasted. As soon as I opened the bottle, the pleasant citrus smell filled the room. It is very strong. I added 1/8 tsp in my cookie recipe. The difference in taste was incredible. My family noticed the difference with the first bite. This is definitely an upgrade.Also, the item came as described, fast shipping, and very well packaged!! So, so good!

I couldn’t wait to try my new Fiori de Sicilia Essence so I went right to work! I made rugelach with apple cinnamon filling and put the Essence in the dough. I had read about how strong it was, so I only used a few drops. It smells HEAVENLY and I could taste it in my flaky tender dough, but I could have used more. Next time I will try 1/4 tsp. per one pound of dough. All my friends ask for all my recipes (which I don’t mind sharing) but I might just keep this secret all to myself 🥰

I've been ordering the 1oz bottle of this for a few years and it's generally fantastic. I opted for the 2 oz bottle this time and whatever is inside is not the same. It's watery with no floral essence at all. It just smells like a flat orange soda. Harsh and artificial. Used it in my usual recipe and it's undetectable. Usually it gives this lovely, unique aroma but with this, nothing. Not sure why there would be a difference in product from one bottle size to another. I've ordered food items before only to later be informed by Amazon that the product inside was fraudulent. I've just reordered a 1oz bottle in hopes that it will be the real thing but if not will give the King Arthur extract a try. Frustrated to have wasted the money on the larger bottle here.

Made pastierra for Easter... WOW! Best ever with that NY bakery flavor that has been juuuuust out of reach in my baking for so many years! It's powerful...use as directed... about 1/2 tsp per. Your taste buds will thank you!
