Great for standing seam roofing
I bought these to cut and bend 1” bends on standing seem roofing. They sure saved a lot of time. All you have to do is slide them in all the way, cut, and you have a 1” deep small v notch. Great brand too!

bought this for relief cuts in upholstery
I bought this to make relief cuts in upholstery vinyl; it works great. Makes clean cuts without leaving any "hanging chads". If it opened a little more it would be a little easier to use. (I have not actually tried it on metal.) Good quality, well made tool.

If you make a lot of collars, get these.
Works great, but not like the old school notchers. Don't attempt to try heavy gauge metal. 16g and under is great for these.
