Designed to Last - Best Option
For outdoor wired low voltage landscape lighting, the Paradise GL22627 is the lowest cost option and longest lasting fixture available. I purchased a set over 12 years ago and they are still going. I tried more expensive lights constructed from stainless steel and aluminum that failed from the stake corroding off, or problems with the bulb socket.A Few Points to Consider:*To increase bulb life I changed bulbs from standard incandesant to LED that are available for the same T5 bulb base. Polarity must be observed with LED bulbs. If the bulb does not light, remove the bulb from the socket and turn 180 degrees to reverse the bulb contacts in the socket.* The biggest problem has been keeping ants from nesting inside the fixture. There is a hole in the stake where the wire enters the post that is used to enter. To place a dab of silicone over the hole should help keep them out. The other option is to put a moth ball inside, but needs to be replenished occasionally.*The quick click connectors require the use of specific underground wire to work. Over time they may also be a source of problems due to loss of contact from moisture and corrosion. Wehn problems occurred, I replaced the quick clip with heat shrink crimp connector splice that seem to offer more reliable connections.* With any outdoor wired lighting I found that any metal parts in contact with the soil needs protection from corrosion. The Paradise GL22627 has a plastic stake that does not breakdown over time. The above ground parts are suited for exposure and do not breakdown from the sun and UV exposure.

Reasonable Cost, Easy Installation.
Put these up on pole brackets, not in the ground. Liked the prewired design but the bulbs were hard to install because the size and depth of the shade prevented using your hand. Had to use needle-nose pliers to install the bulbs. The bulb lumens were bright enough for my taste. Overall, I was happy with the purchase.

Product is as advertised
Very easy to assemble to get going. Light bulbs are included and illuminates nicely. I just hope these last a little longer than the previous models. I've noticed that over the years the body has gotten thinner, specifically the clear/white light portion which causes the light assembly to collapse in about 2 years. Somehow, the sun rays here is California cause the plastic to get fragile and thin over a span of year or 2 and it eventually falls apart if you touch it for cleaning.

I had trouble with this cheap connector clip
I have used this replacement light in the past and it was well made and worked perfectly. I just bought another one and it did not work. The connector clip is cheap and wouldn't go into the feed wire well enough to light up. I had to replace the clip with a (cable to fixture connector ) by Portfolio to get it to work. The manufacturer has obviously made this item cheaper since my last installation, necessitating extra work and $ on the part of the consumer. Disappointed.

Hard to find to replace my landscape lighting.
Hard to find item to replace my landscape lighting. Home Depot and Loews seem to have phased thm out since I originally purchased two sets about 20 years ago. Regarding "Easy To Install" rating, I gave it two stars since the jab lock way of connecting it to it's cable is truly inadequate. Consequently, I cut off the connectors at the end of the wires and installed crimp connectors to attach to the feeder cable after slicing open the cable. I had to do that on all 25 of these lights that I installed 20 years ago. The original way of connecting them to the feeder cable comes loose after about 3 or 4 years and required constant maintenance. I got tired of them loosening and just went ahead with installing the crimp connectors and haven't ha.d a problem since

Great replacement lights for old Malibu/Intermatic sets
I bought these as replacement lights for an ancient Malibu set - these new lights are far superior to the originals. We lost one connector wire for one of the old lights and the brass connector on another one broke off on the original lights - I searched for many hours for replacement connectors and wires before I finally found these lights on Amazon. These new lights connect much more easily and securely than the old ones did, and they cast the light out much better than the original Malibu lights did. Really glad that I found these and the price is fair too, especially when you compare them to what people are asking for the originals on some auction sites!

Easier to install than some others
I bought 2 of these in October, 4 in November, and 2 more in January. Of the eight I bought and installed, 3 have failed already. That's a 37.5% failure rate (small sample). I would not buy them again. I found another supplier that I plan to try and hope that the reliability is better. If you do buy, buy the offered warranty. They provide a great light, are easy to install and look good, but too many have failed for my taste.

Great Replacement Lights
I needed some low voltage replacement lights that matched the ones I already had after a storm dropped tree limbs and damaged a few. These are the exact lights that I needed and install just like any other light. They have the clamp that attaches to the main hot line. These are excellent quality lights at a great price.
