Does the coffee get strong or bitter after awhile with the strainer left in place?

This thing makes coffee for real cowboys. We cowboys do not have a palate able to identify bitter, or strong. We chew our coffee.

How does the lid work? Can I open it with one hand while driving? It is fairly irresponsible for a seller to not show this information first.

It's twist-off, so no, but once it's open it's just the sip-through lid. So when I am driving I leave it open like that.

Did anyone else notice a difference between this newer version and the older one?
