This coloring book is so detailed! It shows scenes from famous classical ballets and gives the story, themes, and techniques used in each. It is even beautiful without color! I had a copy as a child and decided to purchase a new copy. Does not disappoint! I highly recommend this to the ballet nerds out there and to all of the young children who dream of being the new generation of dancers.

I'm an adult who lets her inner child out daily, these days I'm into coloring but children's coloring books are neither interesting enough nor present enough of a challenge. I discovered the Dover Coloring books last week and ordered 3. I am more than happy with the Favorite Ballets, I've already colored two scenes, Emeralds and Don Quixote, each has taken more than 3 hours to finish due to the detail and types of pens and pencils I used. The drawings are beautiful and I found that many have costumes almost exactly the same as some worn by real ballet dancers in productions all over the world. The Scheherazade scene is gorgeous and I can't wait to start it. The Firebird is so beautiful, even without colors you can't stop looking at it. 30 beautiful drawings to color in and there were only about 5 that didn't appeal to me that much. Nothing wrong with them, they just didn't move me. This is a must buy for those who love ballet and coloring.

I am an adult and bought this for myself.I wanted to have ballet prints on the wall of my home of my favorite ballets. I painted a selection from this book, matted them, put descriptive name plates below, framed them, and hung them on the wall. I used watercolors, colored pencils, and pastels - the paper was fine for all three mediums. Beautiful scenes and provides basic history.Most importantly, VERY FUN!!!

Whether just appreciating the art of dance, or a chance to reminisce about familiar classical performances. this coloring book has wonderful line art that will be great fun for any lover of Ballet to put their personal stamp on.

My six year old daughter loves this coloring book. It has descriptions of the ballets along with detailed drawings for her to color. She has seen some of the ballet performances before and enjoys talking about them as she colors. The drawings are so detailed she prefers using sharp colored pencils to color in this book. It was definitely worth the money and would make a great gift for any dancer. Even my teen has enjoyed looking through it and reading about the ballets, and coloring a little, too.

WOW!!! I will zerox pages to give to my Grandchildren so I can keep this book in tact. I am very happy to have discovered this book on Amazon because it has the synopsis of several famous ballets along with these wonderful, detailed pictures. It is a great way to interest children in the wonderful world of ballet.

These are lovely images for little girls. A bit of story accompanies the coloring pages. Enchanting

Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Carta abbastanza spessa. Non ci sono pagine bianche ma data la carta non sottile si riesce a colorare con matite( senza calcare tantissimo tutte le pagine) i costumi sono molto simili se non uguali a quelli delle rappresentazioni teatrali .Trovo il libro accurato. 5 stelle

Je vais essayer ce livre qui me plait déjà par les dessins, le coloriage me semble facile avec du pastels pour le papier qui est fin mais agréable en pastel. Je l'ai aimé et vous l'aimerai aussi.

Mi hija le gusta mucho pero las páginas son muy finas. Esperaba que las páginas estaban de mas calidad de un papel bueno
