INTEX SX1500 Krystal Clear Sand Filter Pump for Above Ground Pools: 1500 GPH Pump Flow Rate – Improved Circulation and Filtration – Easy Installation

I got this pump for a smaller pool that it is rated for. The pool is only 1000 gallons and this is for 1500 gallons per hour.However, I bought this one because it has a timer on it. I can set it to run for 3 hours at a specific start time, and it goes on everyday without needing to worry about it. Plus, it was only about $30 more than a good pump rated for 1000 gallons.I live in an extremely hot climate and having a good pump saves me money on pool chemicals. I had a smaller round pool with only about 800 gallons with the 900 gallon pool pump. It didn’t have a timer so if I went out of town, I had to dump a bunch of chemicals in it when I got back. The smaller one also didn’t keep the water clear.For chemicals, I only have one 2” chlorine tab in a floater and it does the job.A few things to note though, using it on a smaller pool meant that I had to get a hose B adapter from 1.5” to 1.25” to use with the pools smaller inlets. (See pictures). I also had a leak between the pump and the tank, so I had to take it apart and tighten it again. I think it might have been because I didn’t have the tube at the right angle, so keep that in mind.This is a great pump. It’s quiet, efficient, and good value for the money.

We have been through several pumps over that last couple of years that just didnt get the job done! I purchases this pump at the beginning of the year, we have a 12x24 pool that holds 7500 gallons of water. This pump filters my entire pool in 4 hours. Plus the timer on it makes my life so much easier as before I would forget to either turn the pump on or off! I will say i had to buy replacment hoses since the provided hoses did not fit my pool but they were a small addition to an effecting pump that I can just set to run 4 hours every 24 hours! I love it and it's made my pool care so much easier!

Quite and easy to use! Seems well made and I love the GFCI plug which a lot of others don’t have. Timer is easy to use. You change change from 1-12 hours or always on. If you select an hour setting it will run the set time everyday at the same time you started. Easy to hook up and fit right on my Bestway brand pool. Water flow:

This filter is amazing! My pool was green and now it’s crystal clear. Set up was annoying but possible . Only thing is make sure you buy pool sand because it needs sand and make sure you watch a few videos on using it. What each setting means etc . Once it is set up though it’s large and very heavy.

It did what we needed it to do which was turn our swamp green pool, crystal clear again! We got lazy and left our pool uncovered this winter which resulted in green water full of debris. About 2 weeks of running the pump ~12 hrs/day (plus a few shock and algaecide treatments) brought it back to life.My only complaint is that this newer model doesn't seem much of an upgrade. We had the previous model (SF60110-2) for 8 years. It still worked great but we needed to change out the sand this year so we decided to just upgrade the whole pump. This model not only has a much smaller filter tank, but the pump also makes less power and it did not include an inlet plunger valve and strainer. We decided to use the old tank and will keep the new one as a backup. Either way, it definitely did the job and helped us meet our goal of having the pool open for Memorial Day weekend!

First instruction manual I ever read in my life but it paid off, leak free install on first try. Also saw a lot of YouTube setup tutorials. The install/set up was a bit daunting and took a bit more time than the Plug n go option but it will pay off this summer. ☀️

Replacement for my 14 year old one, they updated the controller module,( easy peasy now, set it and forget it), working perfectly on my 9 X 18 Intex pool. ( Ps. Don't forget to back flush once a week 🤗 )

This is a must for any and all above ground pool owners. Huge upgrade from what comes with the pool when purchased. This turned my GREEN pool clear in less than 3hrs of run time. Overall the quality seems to be a better plastic based material that is durable and tough. The water flow is a hugeeeee upgrade and forces the water to the opposite end quickly. The basket is also way easier to prime and clean. This has multiple modes and has an easy timer that can auto shut off after your desired run time. Overall beyond happy with purchase
