KIWIKiwi Suede Protector, 4.25oz

I bought this product to protect my new Ugg boots. The product is well designed with clear directions. It is easy to spray and does not leak. So far, it seems to be very effective. Once I treated my boots, I wore them in the rain and they were completely protected! I think one bottle will last a few years and provide several reapplications.

I recently used the Kiwi Suede Spray to protect my Uggs, and overall, I am happy with the results. The spray did an excellent job protecting my Uggs from water damage after a light rain, which is exactly what I was hoping for. (No spots or watermarks.)One thing to note is that the spray has a noticeable odor when applied, as the label suggests using it in a well-ventilated area. The smell is temporary, and thankfully, my shoes don’t retain any odor after the initial application.The only downside I experienced was a slight change in the color of my Uggs. While this wasn’t an issue with my black pair, I did notice that my chestnut Uggs appeared a slightly darker shade after spraying. It’s not a deal-breaker, but something to keep in mind if you have lighter-colored suede items.Overall, I’d recommend this product for anyone looking to protect their suede shoes from water and light rain. It’s effective and easy to use, as long as you don’t mind the temporary smell and potential for slight color changes.

It's a bit pricey...leaks when you push the button...

I use this on my combat boots as I used to use kiwi brands on my black leather boots. Fantastic product price is going up, I do not mind I used to could find it in stores about town now Amazon is my only connection…I suggest using kiwi suede and nubuck cleaner before and it to can be acquired on Amazon!

Works well; simple application and has held up great since applying

Whatever the active ingredient in this product, there is no doubt that it is dissolved in acetone (nail polish remover). Acetone smells bad and is HIGHLY flammable. I would absolutely recommend against using this product inside your home or in an enclosed space. Also, be aware that it says on the can that you should not smoke as you spray the product.That said, I was very happy with the speed with which the first application dried (on my front step). I was able to apply the second coat within a few minutes. I sprayed a pair of boots and two pairs of walking shoes, all black, and there was no discoloration at all.After the shoes had dried thoroughly, I tested the finish with drops of water, which beaded up and slipped off the leather with amazing speed. I am very pleased with the product. But, again, I cannot emphasize strongly enough that this product should NOT be used indoors.ADDED AFTER OUR RECORD 40-inch snowfall in February 2013. This product is AMAZING. I sprayed my boots in November and wore them regularly, since then, without respraying. Then after the snow, I climbed over snowdrifts, struggled through thigh-high snow, stumbled into puddles and skidded through slush. My feet never got wet. This product does all it is supposed to do!!

I'm sorry I had to rate this a three, but I took into consideration how long it took to get the item, and the condition of the can when I received it. It is a good product. Unfortunately, when I opened the paper package, there was a dent in the can and the plastic top was cracked and off the can. I knew I should have sent it back, but it took 15 days to get it, and I really needed to use it on my suede boots. I took my boots and Kiwi spray out in the garage and started to spray my boots when I noticed the can was leaking badly..... I was able to spray 1 coat on before the can was empty. I have no idea why the company would package a pressurized can in a package. I also have no idea why it took so long to deliver it to me. I will not order from that company again.
