Darling Small Barbie House
I bought this Barbie house for my eldest foster daughter for Christmas. I wanted something that would 'wow' her, yet be small enough for her to move with (unfortunately I don't know how long she'll be staying). This Barbie house is light-weight, yet sturdy. Exactly what I was looking for. The price wasn't too bad either!Together we assembled the house in about 20 minutes. She's 10 and could help with the smaller pieces. About 10 different larger pieces need to be put together and the directions aren't entirely clear- so you have to look at the box to get an idea. The bottom floor has two doorways- one with a 'front door'. The kitchen is so cute and has a fridge, oven, sink, stove top, and counter space. The counter can also be flipped up to created a window area. Or chairs can be put next to the counter to make it a breakfast bar. The kitchen accessories include a carton of milk, a carton of orange juice, a tray, a pie, and a pan. There is also a table and two chairs which can be used in the kitchen or on the 'top deck' of the house. They include two little drinks with straws. The other room of the house is a convertible living room/bedroom. The bedroom includes a bed, blanket, and pillow. The living room includes a couch and TV. It's neat because it can be converted into a two story house, or a one story. Which she enjoys. The pink colors are very 'Barbie' and there are lots of spaces in the house for multiple barbies to live. It's also the appropriate size for Bratz and Monster High dolls (which also live in our house). The design is very cute. Small and manageable- yet big enough to keep the child engaged and entertained. I also bought her a Barbie set with accessories. We're making a 'make-shift' closet with a small shoe box- which adds to the home. The shelves next to the bed we use for shoes and jewelry. It's a very cute house and she was utterly delighted to open it up. I would definitely recommend it to someone who wants to get their child something really nice, yet not 'too big'.

Granddaughter very happy
I was very pleased with this doll house. I wasn't sure because the true test is what the kids think about it. My granddaughter was very excited. My son assembled it, he said it was easy and did not take him much time to do. It has furniture that you can move and snap into place so that the parts are not lost. I really appreciate that. The price was great, I got a really good deal. It made a great birthday gift.

I thought of how happy our daughter would be to find that under the ...
So here's the deal:Last Christmas our then 4 year old daughter asked for Barbie's Dreamhouse. I was 7 months pregnant and crazier than usual due to hormones.I thought of how happy our daughter would be to find that under the tree. So I set out to research it.I found out the Bsrbie was living large in a bright pink nightmare that was going to cost $150. I went between " are they nuts?!" And " oh it's Christmas! Why not? We'll simply eat baked beans for a month and take it out of the grocery budget!"Again, hormones.I then read the reviews. If that's the part you're at, let me save you some time. The big Dreamhouse is a total nightmare and has divided numerous families and loved ones during the construction phase alone. Parents described fighting with each other and turning in even grandparents while they tried ( in vain) to through then 15,386 pieces together on Christmas Eve. What's worse? It's apparently flimsy and has a ton of stickers you "get" to apply. Oh! And that gorgeous elevator? Yeah, it breaks. It gets jammed. Guess who gets to fix that 27 times a day? That's right adults! Us!! Yaaaaay...I saw the price on this and though, maybe. It seemed too good to be true. The reviews were better and this thing is way cheaper. Also, when we put it together we didn't threaten divorce. Is it glorified cardboard and plastic framing? Yes. Should it be selling for $19.99 at best? More than likely. That being said, she likes it and it doesn't fall apart. AND there were only 749 pieces or something so that was nice. Now that being said will your Barbie fan believe this is a comparable substitute? I think it would depend on the age. This year our little girl wants....Barbie Dreamhouse.Crap.

Barbie Birthday Love!
This item was easy to put together. My 5 yr old and I put it together in about 30-45 min. Directions were easy. She loves it! Many different ideas for placing the bedroom on top of house or off to the side. It makes it fun that some of the parts move around and lots of accessories! Perfect for a 5 yr old! I wouldn't recommend for a little one younger than that because of the small pieces. (We have to keep it tucked away from her inquisitive little sister)

Not worth the money.
My daughter loves Barbies. She also loves playing house with them. The house wasn't put together very good at all. And it was cheaply made. The price that you pay for it, you might as well get a bigger, better made house. We were not impressed with it at all. The only thing that was cute was the graphics and little accessories.

My daughter absolutely loves this!
My daughter just turned 8 in September and we just got rid of her HUGE doll house that stood 5 feet tall so this was a replacement for that one. Not nearly as big but it's her go to toy and easier for her to play with. I think she plays with this one more because she is able to carry it into what ever room she chooses in order to play with it. I bought this a month ago when it was on-sale for 25 which was a GREAT deal considering how much it is normally. I think both of us are thoroughly satisfied with this deal ;)

Silly product, not worth the money
We bought this for my daughter for Christmas and I don't even understand what to do with the "second" floor. It makes no sense, it just gets plopped on top and it generally is a piece of junk. Don't waste your money or time putting together.
