My small dog had to have a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) due to a bad hip, we use this disc to get her to bear weight on her leg to build muscle. It’s the same disc that is used at her rehabilitation doctor’s office. I’ve actually used it as a balance disc for me too!

Have been using this for many months now as we do therapy for our dog. Works great.....but a part of the thing doesn't inflate correctly so there's always a divot/dent that cannot be removed even when blowing the thing up pretty full, hence had to remove a star.

Very strongly recommend you go to the manufacturer's website for inflation and usage instructions first, which is referenced in their enclosed packet. Only after reading their guide was I able to figure it out and get it properly inflated for my dog's use. Our canine chiropractor recommended it to strengthen my GSD's back legs and hips, and it is doing the job. I had tried a human version, a half ball, and found it too unwieldy and heavy to use properly. The FitPAWS disc works best. And as another reviewer mentioned, make sure you get the correct size to fit your dog. If it's too small, it won't work as intended.

My dog is currently in physical therapy once a week so we decided to get this for at home use and it works great. It came with the tip attachment and pump to inflate. We’ve been using it for a month and have not had to re fill it yet. My dog is 100lbs

This was a great product up until a month ago when it abruptly stopped holding pressure. I have been very careful with it, using only for my dog’s PT & then putting it away. So I know that my dog hasn’t chewed on it & his nails are well maintained. I can’t discern where it’s actually leaking from. There are no obvious cracks & the ‘stopper’ still fits snugly. It’s a shame to only get about 6 months from it, considering the cost.

I bought this for my German Shepherd who has an ACL injury of some sort but she doesn't need surgery. This was recommended by the her physical therapist to help her gain core strength and to help her back leg muscles stronger. I use this for all three of my dogs who now think this is a fun game where they can get treats and it helps them at the same time. It is very thick plastic and durable and am very happy with how well it is holding up. I suppose a person who is around 100lbs. or so could also use this for balance and core strength exercises.

My pup is doing physical therapy and ordered this to do PT at home, but it came defective. What was odd is the mfg box had been RETAPED. Looks like someone may have returned it and in turn, was sent to me.
