Beautiful Quality Candles; Exact measurements below!
I just bought two of these. They are beautiful quality and I'm very pleased. Results of my first six hours of burning below. But first, for those (like me) who care about exact measurements I would like to note that both the candles I received are 2 7/8 inches in diameter, not three inches. This is important because if (like me) you have a holder exactly three inches in diameter, they do fit! I did discuss this with the company (see link below for the discussion) and they said the mold is three inches so the size is "officially" three inches but in fact the wax may contract slightly as it cools. I've suggested the company add this information to the description and I hope they do. But for now, for those who would like to read it, here is the discussion:http://www.amazon.com/review/R1H53MYU9X45NL/ref=cm_cr_pr_cmt?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B0001OPI6Q&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=#wasThisHelpfulSo, the burning test. The beeswax is a a beautiful natural color which, when seen through the flame, is a lovely warm amber--one of my favorite colors. I have been burning the candle for just a little under six hours and there is no detectable aroma in the room; if I walk up close to the candle it has a pleasant natural scent. The candle comes with detailed instructions on how to make it last longer. For example, a six-inch pillar should be burned at least six hours each time to prevent it from "tunneling." Also, when the wick gets long it needs to be trimmed to a quarter inch. So far I've burned mine just six hours: The level of wax has dipped a little more than a half inch--suggesting that it is in fact very long-burning. I will update this review when it burns to the bottom.EDITED TO ADD BURN DATA:As promised I *finally* kept a burn log of a 3x6 candle. It burned exactly 81.5 hours in my hands. That compares with 90 hours on the product listing. That's a reasonable variation to me. I imagine quite a few things contribute to exact burn time. Here are the details of my test:--I burned it between 1.5 and 7 hours at a time, with an average of 4.2 hours per burn.--I followed the instructions to trim the wick when it got long. I also molded the wax after burning, turning down the edges to reduce the "tunnel" effect that eventually causes it to run out of air if you don't.Overall I remain very happy with the quality of these candles and they have now officially become my "house" brand. I buy in bulk on the company's Web site. I also buy the tapers, which are of the same good quality as these pillars. Despite my overall loyalty to Amazon, this is one case where I get a better price by going directly to the company. But shhh, don't tell Amazon I said so.

Gummy about half way
I'm into natural Beeswax candles and bought these based on review about a year ago. Finally got around to burning them earlier this month. My wife and I like to burn candles in the evening to relax prior to bed. When we do so, it's for about 2-3 hours each time. The first 6 or so times they burnt well, and didn't crater as some candles do. So we used about half the 6 inch candles. Last night, they refused to light or stay lit. So this morning, I decided to trim down the wax walls to about a 1/3 inch from 2/3, thinking it might help air flow. It did help, as they lit again with just s few seconds lag. However, when trimming down the wax wall, I noticed that the wax was very gummy - unlike any other beeswax candles I've owned. It didn't stink, but holding the knife over the flame, the wax turned black and tarry. I got the knife clean again after running it under HOT water for a while and wiping the blade clean with a Bounty. This has me thinking that these are not pure Beeswax, and that the sides are at least mixed or coated with some other material. This may not matter to some, but it's a deal breaker for me, especially at the price.

Best candle I’ve ever owned 🤩
Worth every penny!! I have never purchased pure beeswax candles and now I’m never going back to synthetics. The aroma is heavenly. I got the unscented large pillar and two cedar orange in the hand blown glass! Truely stunning the appearance and aroma. I’m hooked. I have to keep the unscented one away from my pup he wants to eat it lol!!!
