Awesome Power Supply, Great for Projects!
I recently purchased this power supply and it arrived promptly. The power supply is small and light, the LCD is a great feature to have... It seems to be pretty accurate as well. The highest voltage/current I was able to measure was 31.5V and 5.2 A. I'd say it's pretty good for being advertised as 30V/5A. It has been great for powering LEDs and charging capacitors and batteries. Definitely a must have for small electrical projects/DIY. One of the things that led me to purchase this supply compared to others was price. For the features and capabilities provided the price can't be beat. This power supply can be shorted without breaking it and has its own cooling fan. I have not been able to trigger the cooling fan yet, even when running it at 31.5V/5.2A for about 20 minutes! It is a very efficient and rugged tool. The alligator clips provided are not the greatest but buying a nicer set is not too expensive. I do not have a problem with the provided alligator clips.Pros:- Great Specs- Lightweight- Accurate- DurableCons: None so far!

Nice for the price!
I am a hobby guy who dabbles in electrical things and this is a great unit. The fine voltage adjustment knob works well and the voltage is stable. I was testing it by powering some electric slot cars and the cars run an additional 5 feet after the power on the supply is switched off, so there is a nice sized capacitor inside to smooth out the DC power. You really can't beat this for the price, highly recommended for hobby people!

very affordable high output current adjustable voltage/current dc supply
Worked perfectly out of the box, very light weight for the output power. Has worked great with powering my 16 ft LED light strip, all the way to powering my hot wire nichrome Styrofoam bead board cutter, and as a solar PV panel simulator for debugging my battery charge controller.Only down side I see is there is overly sensitive coarse voltage adjustment, and not quite a wide enough range on the fine adjustment controls, but all in all a very nice unit.

Life-threateningly dangerous product
All you need to know is that this product is life-threateningly dangerous. There is a large amount of capacitance built in, which by itself would be a good thing. However, it's not isolated from the mains input. What this means is that when you power this device off and pull out the plug from the 110V AC socket, you can get a mighty serious shock. Yes, I found that out the hard way. My hand was painful for an hour after the AC plug just brushed against it. If this amount of energy were to offload through your body, passing through your heart, it could be fatal.Another sign of bad engineering is that if there's no load, when you turn the device off, it basically stays on. For a really long time.Did I mention that as soon as you provide a load, it actually start making a loud hissing noise? Or that the course voltage adjustment has severe lag, and it's really hard to dial in the exact voltage you want?I don't write reviews often, and I try to stay positive, but this is complete and utter dangerous junk.

Great bench supply
I was skeptical after reading some of the other reviews, but this arrived on time, looked great with no damage, and performs exactly as expected. The fine adjustment works perfectly to dial in the exact voltage I want. I like being able to see how much current my motors draw in real time.I also like how light it is. My older bench supply is way too heavy, so it stayed put and I brought things to it. This one is much more portable. It held 30V at 5A just fine for a 10 minute test.

Fine performance for an inexpensive power supply.
For the price, a really stable DC power supply, with very little ripple. The knobs do require a fine touch as small adjustments can result in fairly large swings in voltage, so practice, or lock in the voltage before you energize your circuit.

It stays on after switched off
I'm not sure what is going on, but it is somehow storing power after it is switched off. I push the button and it takes over 10 seconds for the screen to dim. I find this alarming. Is it still actually on? Hard to tell. I am not confident enough to keep it. Returning.

Neat supply.
Great price for an entry level adjustable power supply. Low enough ripple for most projects and hobby work out there even up to 30V. Low voltage devices are powered very easily. I've also used 12V devices that draw about 4A continuous with no issue. However I was recently troubleshooting a cordless drill and it wouldn't power up. Perhaps it was because of the high peak current required to get it moving, but continuous current measured at 19mA@20V using my Fluke 115. Strange.
