Fun and easy to learn
This is an easy game to learn and fun for all the whole family. We learned it in about 10 minutes, and it probably takes 15-20 minutes to play a game. This is a great game to leave on the coffee table and play when you just want to play something quick and fun but you don't have the time or energy for a longer or more involved game. It takes more strategy than Uno, but it's easy to learn for about the same age group (approx age 8-adult).The basic gist of the game...You have three "bowls" of ramen noodles. You can add one flavor pack card and up to 4 other ingredient cards to each bowl. Each flavor pack tells you what kind of ingredients are worth points in that bowl, and you work to collect them and add them to the bowl. Once you fill your bowl with as many points as you can, you "eat" it (turn the stack over to reveal an empty bowl). When a player has "eaten" all three of their bowls, the game ends. There are also "garnish" cards that can add or subtract a point from any bowl, and you get two "spoons," which can be used to take an ingredient out of any bowl. It's lots of fun to fill someone else's bowl with -1 cards or use a spoon to take away a great ingredient they have so that you can slow them down or help yourself. Ha!Definitely worth the $8-12 price tag.

Definitely Recommend
We have tons of games but this one is in the top 5 for sure. My husband and I were looking at games to take on our getaway and this was a fun one! We played it countless times on our weekend away. I definitely recommend it!

We keep playing it!
We’ve enjoyed this game a lot and would recommend it! It reminded us of Sushi Go a little bit but we like this better. The scoring is much easier and no passing cards. Your goal is to make ramen by adding ingredients to your bowls and then lock in your score by “eating” it/flip the cards over. The game feels a little complicated and clunky the first round as you figure out the 6 different options for your turn, but that’s all it took for us to understand how to play and wanted to play again. Which says a lot. The 6 actions are draw a card, place a card, steal a card, empty a bowl, eat a bowl, and replenish the draw pile. Playtime was under 30 mins, my 9 year old could play alone, rules were clear and short. After reading the rules, I would recommend watching the ad for this game on YouTube. The ad made for the game by the company actually shows how to play and was helpful. Just a tip for something we missed, you can only have five cards in your hand and five cards in each ramen bowl.

Nice cards, rules need work
The cards themselves are nice quality with clear illustrations, color coding and labeling. It's also cute how the ramen bowl cards have a full bowl on one side to illustrate that you're still filling it, and an empty bowl on the other to illustrate that you've "eaten" or completed the bowl and nothing more can be added to it. The box that holds the cards looks like a dried ramen noodle square. It's presentation is really quite giftable! What I have an issue with is the actual game play. The rules themselves are tedious. If you pick up a card, that's considered an "action". If you pick up a card and immediately lay it down in one movement, it's considered two "actions" (you only get two "actions" per turn) so your turn is over. This creates a jerky flow to the game that my husband, myself and my 11yr old son all picked up on at different times. When we discussed our dislikes about the game, we all voiced this by explaining it in various ways. My son says it's choppy, I said it's like hiccups and my husband said it feels like tripping in traffic while playing. It's interesting we all picked up on this same false-start/go-don't-go dynamic of the game that we didn't care for. We've played about 12 times and we've tweaked the rules with SOME positive outcome, but the game still feels forced without a nice flow. My son really likes the game, regardless. My husband won't play it anymore, and I'm somewhere in the middle. We're huge into card and board games so I was surprised by this. The cards have great potential and if you can work out the rules for a way that works for your family I think you'd really love it. We just haven't figured that out yet, and not sure we'll get the chance to.

Portable fun!
This game is fun to play and easy to bring along when traveling. The illustrations and colors on the cards add to the fun. Don't let the simplicity of the instructions fool you. There are some real strategies you can employ to maximize your points and disrupt the points of your fellow participants. We found it fun figuring out the various plays beyond the basics. If you like strategy games, this one is for you!We plan on taking this portable game with us whenever we travel. This game provides a fast (30 minutes) source of fun that you can play anywhere such as at the airport when you have a long layover.

Great little game, kids and adults can play together
We have gotten a lot of use out of this. It is easy enough to learn. It is the kind of game where children are not at a disadvantage if they don't have strong reading skills, or if the child is playing against adults. We play a lot of games in my household, and my 7 & 9 year olds are a fan of this, and it is not too childish at all that the adults also enjoy it.The game moves along quickly, and if you enjoy Sushi Go or Cover Your Assets, you will probably like this, too. Really nicely packaged. Makes a great gift because of the quirky design and easy instructions.
