Nice pump is low profile to allow portable AC unit to drain into it without having to elevate the air conditioner.
This solved my problem of a portable air conditioner that worked great, but would no longer pump the condensate out as it used to do. I removed the drain plug and ran a small tube from the drain plug to this pump and not I can still use my portable AC unit. I only here it run for about 5 seconds about once an hour to keep my AC unit drained so it wont keep quitting for being full of water that needs to be drained. Some portable AC units don't have a built in pump to start with and will surely need this if they are in a humid climate like I am here in Florida. You can ignore the two signal wires coming out of the unit, they are only on a over fill switch to be wired into a central AC unit to shut it down incase this pump would fail. It could be used for a battery powered light or alarm if your so inclined. The switch is wired as N.C. but you can move a wire inside to make it a N.O. if that suits you better. I imagine most people will just ignore the wires, again they are not hot and can just be safely ignored if you don't want, or need to use them.

So happy that I am beside myself...at least twice so...
Portable Server Room-rated air conditioner previously evaporated condensed water from its internal tank so fast that it never filled up. This year, that tank fills up so fast I have to drain it every 15-45 minutes depending on relative humidity in the atmosphere otherwise the a/c shuts itself down. Beyond annoying...Finally found a condensate pump with a low enough physical profile on the floor that gravity can drain the portable a/c's internal tank from the low-slung spigot into the pump’s holding tank (raising the portable a/c off the floor to accommodate higher profile pumps would introduce the unwanted variable of instability). And the pump uses a float switch to automatically drain itself directly to the bathtub in my bathroom nearby. No more manual and tedious drainings every 15-45 minutes. Happy, happy, joy, joy... Thank you Amazon for selling this so I could let my fingers do the shopping and allowing me to avoid wasting time by not having to scour the city for it.

Works Like a Charm
I am using this to pump excess condensate from a portable air conditioner. When used on the heating mode in rainy weather, the air conditioner creates 2 or more gallons of condensate overnight which is more than its internal evap system can deal with. This low profile pump enabled me to run a hose from the air conditioner to the pump even though the hose connector is mounted at the base of the air conditioner. Every 20 minutes or so the automatic start of the pump kicks in and it pumps the condensate into a 5 gal bucket. Set up was simple - I just connected two hoses (not provided with the pump) and it has been working smoothly ever since.

Have a gas furnace in the attic where the water condensate discharge was draining into the catch pan and needed to pump it over to a PVC drain pipe for proper exit out of the attic. Problem with my situation was that the furnace has little to no clearance underneath so I needed a low profile pump. This unit fit the bill, it installed right out of the box and has worked flawlessly so far. I have another Little Giant pump for my basement furnance that has worked for over 10 years with no issues so that led me to purchase another. The Little Giant company has a reputation for building solid pumps and thats no lie. Pump was a good price and any do-it-yourselfer can put one in.

Worked exactly as I expected
The pump is very quiet. It makes a little hum and rushing noise of water. Mine is in the attic so I can't hear it at all.For my application, it collects condensate from an air conditioning blower in the attic and pumps it through a 20' horizontal run of 1/4" ID tubing to a pipe with a vertical drop in the house. Installed this way, it empties the small reservoir in about 7 seconds. The safety switch worked; I allowed the unit to flood by leaving it unplugged, then tested continuity across the switch leads. It changed states from short to open. When I plugged the pump back in, the leads returned to a short. The power cord is about 3 feet long.It ships with two different size hose barbs. You can select which you want to use. There are two holes in the top inflow. A pop-in cover comes with it to seal one hole if you only use one.

Failed in 2 years like the prior?
This was the second of this manufacturer I've had. When I bought the house this was in place and eventually failed due to cracks around the impeller cover/housing. Since I had no clue on age I simply replaced with the same manufacturer. Now here we are, with the same cracks appearing - causing abnormally long pump times, and only 2.5 years later. Installed late 2020, failed mid 2023. Not alot of other options out there - but know this is apparently a disposable part. :/
