PrimePets Flea Comb for Cat Dog, Pet Hair Removal Comb

I rescue cats and can't afford to medicate every cat I come across. This helps greatly reduce fleas, the needles are longer than most others. They are close enough together that they trap even really small fleas (be careful around whiskers!) It's great to get enough dead together to feed my carnivorous plant as well! The cats love it so much they brush themselves against it as soon as I bring it out. I had one exactly like this (same company) decades ago that I bought from Kmart but never found anything like it again locally until I got fed up loosing my last yellow comb. Very affordable too!The curve makes it comfortable as well when using it for prolonged periods. The only thing I didn't like was this one l, the needles are not straight with eachother but close enough it doesn't really matter.

Although this is a very small and seemingly insignificant item, it gave me an instant read on how bad my cat was infested with fleas. My poor kitty! He is indoors only but we must be tracking the fleas in on our shoes or clothes. I treat him monthly with drops but this time around they didn't seem to help. My little guy was showing signs of discomfort so I bought this comb along with a great flea shampoo. I was horrified to see what I pulled off his back with just one swipe. I used this comb to sweep out as many fleas and debris as possible before bathing him. VERY effective! I recommend this comb.

Gets the fleas, & the flea poo. Not sure what flea eggs look like but there are some white specs amongst the poo. Very smooth combing thru my cats fur. Seems comfortable for him, it is not pulling the fur but gliding through it. Easy grip & easy to clean.

ok this is a good comb, and east to hold and use, not much more you can ask for, other than how long before the teeth break or fall out?

This does work, catches the fleas and loose hair from your pet. Just sucks how when I'd take the fur and fleas out of the tongs, the tongs would lift out of their places. You can put them back in the holes, but I lost a lot of them. :( Maybe it was just the one I got.

I have 50 years experience training/boarding/grooming/kenneling and about 3 million dog boarding days.This is an essential tool and yet so simple and cheap.Main use is for DETECTING/Determining if a dog or cat (or any mammal) has fleas.Run it down their back with the teeth slanted toward the skin/forward. Do a few strokes being sure you get to the skin. Some times you need to use a regular brush first for tangles/mats/shedding.If the animal has fles you will see the flea dirt on the comb. If it's BLACK and DULL and CRUNCHY it's flea dirt (poop). Fleas drink blood so they poop "scab".If it's Hard or Shiney then it's not flea dirt.Fine tooth combs have been around for decades for lice on kids heads.

This product did not pick up live fleas on my miniature schnauzer. The grip is nice and I can still use it on my little guys paws and eyebrows.

Best flea comb I’ve ever used! It works extremely well on short haired animals to extract the fleas from there for! I would however recommend having a bowl of water and some Kleenex or toilet paper to get the fleas off the calm as you continue to run the comb through your pet. they have a tendency to jump off the comb of the comb it’s not wet and you use the bowl of water to get the fleas off the comb and then I use some Kleenex or toilet paper to clean the comb of the tiny fleas that are on there and then I repeat the process until you’ve gotten all the fleas off your pet. this is something that you’ll have to do repeatedly at least a couple of times a day until you resolve the flea issue because these guys keep coming back so try to find some natural flea spray I’ve made my own using lemon and vinegar with water mixture in a spray bottle and constantly spray them and their bedding area and that seems to work…

I use this product on my Cane Corso and it does a great job gathering all his loose fur. Although it is small it does the trick

My cats and I love this comb. It's shape fits comfortably in my hand. It's effective in catching fleas, have patience and just keep combing ( I dunk the comb in water w blue dawn to kill what I find) easy to work through fur in any direction, and my cats get all relaxed ( must have a massage feel)
