I've had a very hard time in the past trying to find carabiners that work for me when I'm setting up my portable hammock. I have horrid arthritis in my hands and I've found that most locking carabiners are almost impossible for me to lock...or worse, unlock! But these carabiners are just what I need! They are truly ultra-light since they're made out of aluminum alloy, and the twist lock is super easy to turn, which is probably most important. Just twist gently a few times and the thing is truly locked tight and won't open. I feel completely safe lying in my hammock (even with two of us) and when the time comes to leave, a quick twist and it's open. Even though it's light, it's very sturdy. I can even lock and unlock the clip with only one of my poor old arthritic hands. Best carabiner I've ever used.

I use these carabiners for holding my keys. I meant to try to use them for running with my dog and attaching her leash to my belt but haven't done that yet. I did not realize that these were screw tightening carabiners until I got them in the mail- just poor reading on my part- I was looking for a smaller version of a rock climbing quick release carabiner. The company reached out to me on routine customer satisfaction check via email. I let them know of my dilemma. I love the quality of the carabiner but not the lack of a quick release. They were very kind and offered me a refund, but I decided to keep the carabiners since they are so well made: strong, light & look good. The company then generously registered me for a 1-year free replacement warranty. So: good company, good carabiner. The carabiner is just not a quick release- just so you know :)

These carabineers are way lighter than I thought they would be. I've been in a pretty bad hammock accident in my life so I'm scared to death of them. There is no way for me to test that out. However, I did use them to carry a few grocery bags into the house all at the same time so I didn't have to make 2 trips. That worked very well. And really didn't add more weight to the groceries trip.They are great to keep on your keys or backpack. In fact I just switched from carrying a purse to a backpack and I will definitely be putting at least one of them on there. I like the idea if keeping all my hair bands on them too. I am forever losing those things.Overall, they are good. The lock is very easy to use. I'd use them at the beach to keep my keys and other things like my camera with a wrist strap and one of my wallets, also with a wrist strap all together, hidden. Oh, I also used one on my keys to hang them on the seat back of the cart of the grocery store. I've always done that with another clip I had, that way I always knew where they were and didn't have to search all over my backpack to find them. They are handy to have. And they were shipped here really fast.

These are great for attaching keys to your pants and things of that nature. They would not be good for hiking or camping. They are very lightweight. They look heavy but they are not. They do open and close well and are very secure. I love the screw that goes over the end so that you can't accidently open and lose something important. You must screw it back first, then press down. It is a pack of 4 and they are all the same color. I got blue but there are other color choices you can choose from. These are perfect for the working man or woman or great for a kid too.

The "better" part is that these carabiners look and feel their strength. There is aesthetic value up and above the specifications. The first thing I noticed when I got them is that they LOOKED strong with a strength that could be appreciated beyond tensile strength. I have purchased other brands - less expensive ones - and they have failed to retain the cords or keys I put on them. The Bolier LOCKS and locks tight. The recommendation is to make sure the screw-mechanism is turned as far as you CAN turn it. Though this is not much of a review in length - what can you say if a product fulfills the promises and quality it boasts? And considering the importance of these things for securing your valuables, that is saying a lot - and the price is right. Check the other reviewers as I have. These carabiners are made of a high quality metal with a polished black finish. They aren’t flimsy and the locking mechanism holds. Branding is minimal which I like and the packaging is very nondescript. These Carabiners are exactly what you expect them to be. They seem to be made of good quality, and look like they will last. I use these to attach keys/other items to my backpack. I ride a motorcycle, so these come in handy to attach something to my backpack and also makes me feel safe that I won't lose the item during my ride. If you're looking for a pair of Carabiners, you can't go wrong with these. They have many uses. I have even attached keys to my jean loops by using these. The extra security of the locking mechanism makes gives you the reassurance that they won't come undone during the activity you're doing while using these.

These carabiners were perfect, until only a few months of using them this little metal inside of them to help them snap back in place fell off on one of them. I haven't hanged anything on them besides my keys. So not even a half pound of weight has gone on them. I guess they were good for the price while they lasted. I've lost keys before to this problem with cheap carabiners I got lucky no keys fell out this time I just reached for them and it was broken out of nowhere I didn't smack them into anything
