Fantastic game
I am a board game junkie. And an even bigger sucker for war gaming when it comes to table top. The thing is it’s kind of difficult to get people in my circle to agree to sit down and play ‘Axis &Allies’ or ‘memoir 44’ I never knew solitaire table top existed till the good ole algorithm suggested I try some. After some careful research this was the one I decided to buy because it was ww2 themed and it had high ratings. I’ve done 3 trial runs now and there hasn’t been a war game yet that just ‘clicked’ for me like this one. The instruction booklet is probably the best and most detailed booklet I’ve ever seen. I didn’t have to refer to the internet once people all my answers were in the booklet and none of them vague clear and precise. The game board in the pictures looked very clunky and almost ugly. But with context to the rule book it’s actually amazing and well designed. Only nit pick is maybe the map could have looked a little more war torn. Destroyed buildings, smoke, broken down tanks. The game pieces are simplistic and easy to identify and read. And that’s what I’ll leave with on this review. Highly recommend to the lonely war gamers.

Awesome Solo Gaming
An amazing solitaire strategy game. Difficult to win, but super-fun to play. You don't need knowledge of WWII or Stalingrad to play, but it certainly makes it more interesting to envision.High quality board, cards and tokens. The Rule Book could use a little bit of editing and organizing, but it is easy enough to get the hang of and there are lots of online commentaries to help w/ those pesky questions. Everything (that I can see) is in the Rule Book, but it is not always easily-found (like "what does the Ammo Token do?")....so, I did go online a couple of times w/ Qs.Highly recommended for Solitaire Gamers.

Great game that truly makes you feel in Stalingrad
This is a very good game by DVG.You can do solitaire (sometimes the wife or friends don't have enough time), make it competitive (1 vs 1), play Co-OP (one controls Pavel house and the other the theater surrounding the house), or all together.I like the solitaire version because it's very standalone, no need to suffer by using the AI in weird counters etc. It's very straight forward and very challenging. For Co-OP, well your partner controlling the outside of Pavel house might get bored, but you can always share with him a few squads or just play strictly. For competitive, it's interesting, cause it will add more thoughts to the german player and obviously his/her luck with the dice. The game can be played in easy mode or hard mode. There are also more options to make the game more challenging.I liked this game because it really transmits the feeling of being surrounded by germans in a city that must be held at all costs. You can't do the rat war, but you can hold your Alamo and have fun while at it.The house itself is barricaded, but it will lose strength with ongoing attacks. Your troops inside the house will need food, heavy equipment for different enemies (AT guns and machine guns.)While you are trying to survive the assaults the operational level must continue, provisions gotta cross the volga while attacked by airplanes, you gotta keep communication with the house (this will bring you the ability to use 1 more card), put AA guns, send provisions to the staging area, and of course sending reinforcements to the house.Truly a unique gameplay that at 1st will be hard to master, but after an hour or two play, you will know the game well and it will flow. For those that love the Russian front, solitaire games and fighting to the last man, this game will be pleasing for you.If, by any chance (it didn't happened to me) not get the full set of cards. You can always write to DVG and they will send a full bunch of cards.I hope y'all enjoy this as much as I did.

Not for 2 or 3 players.
This is a great SOLO game. Don't believe the 2 or 3 players option. They are not worth trying.

I’m looking forward to this one.
I have never played this game but it is a solo game experience and that’s why I bought this game. I am not able to get out that easily so solo board game experiences are something I looking for. The game is in perfect condition and it came in a timely manner.

Great solitaire game!
This is one of the few solitaire games that didn't feel like a solitaire game. The German player's card based "AI" is nuanced enough that it provides different challenges, which lend themselves to different solutions. There is a time pressure (when the deck ends), but surviving is not a guarantee, and surviving well is definitely not guaranteed. That's one thing I like. If the game is not going well, you can find satisfaction in just living, if you are doing well there are bonus points to try for.
