WiFi Booster Boost WiFi Signal, Range Extender, Repeater, Access Point

well ...i purchased a signal booster thing backa few years ago. when i had cox. it did not work. switched to direct tv since then. anyway plugged this new booster thing in and it did not work.i thought ..foiled again! then i plugged the cable that came with it into the box and into the booster.THEN plugged the booster into the wall...wentinto the garage and my phone took off!! i haveip, ipad and direct tv with great speed now anywhere on my property. wee doggy!

I made the mistake of following all the directions. I plugged it in. I brought my laptop to my daughter's poor-reception room, I found the SSID (Wifi Extender), put in the IP address in the laptop's url space, put in the admin admin ssid ID and password; it swirled and said "connected" on the laptop then gave a yellow exclamation on the laptop's wireless icon in the taskbar. Then could not get either the laptop or my phone connected to it. Please help. Should I have just let it connect to the (Wifi Extender) SSID without going further. Any help would be appreciated.

Low strength

I already had a good range extender installed in my LR. This item did not improve that range extender performance.This may be a great choice if you need a range extender for your routerI may repurchase this item for my other house after getting new Internet service - possibly will improve my streaming media service for the TVs.

Not confusing to plug into the wall obviously, lol. The written directions could have been just a bit more user friendly. Most of the steps on the instructions did not appear for me. Because of that I kept getting a msg saying that it was not secure to use. Unfortunately I can not tell you how I managed to make it work but it is secure and it is working. Plus, you have to remember that most likely where you are placing it, it is probably not in the close vicinity of the computer, at least mine is not. I had to place mine in an area where company would be so they could use their electronics without the connection making them feel like they were back on dial up. In order to install it I had to do a search for it similar to finding an open network. Once I found it on the network list then I was able to get it installed.

I used this to extend the wifi signal to my office which is on a far corner. The install was relatively easier than I expected especially after reading the reviews. However a simple chart came with it that showed step by step. I was concerned that I was missing something because there wasn’t much to it, but I plugged it in near the wifi router, followed the install steps on my laptop, then moved it and plugged it in about 2/3 closer to the office. It works beautifully! I just had to log in to the Wifi extender network instead of the main network and now my speed is doubled. No more waiting 10 minutes to load a page or losing signal altogether.

The maker of this product (which is impossible to determine since there is no manufacturer info included on the device, on the installation sheet, or the box, i.e., no company name, phone number, or URL/Web address) is a world class scam artist. It might work if you could only figure out how. There is no way to determine if it is working (my wireless router sees the device name), but there is no way to get access to the device per the instructions to set a User Name and Password. So even if it is working you have no way of knowing that your WiFi network is secured. The FBI should investigate this scam company and anyone in the supply chain for this product is open to endless litigation for damages associated with unsecured network intrusions caused by this product. Also, you should consider altering you star values to add a O Star Rating. These scammers should get 5 Zeros!

I am not tech savvy, I was hopeful to just plug it in & be done, with that being said my 15 year old daughter had it working in less than 15 min & we are all very happy. She says the speed is so much better. I notice my streaming tv has stopped freezing up. I had called Spectrum twice about my tv problems & they just blame my ring. I am very happy with my purchase & am very glad I tried this before giving up on cable TV. I recommend everyone to try it. I have 2 kids who play lots of games, they both notice the speed improvement. Thank you.
