Very durable, great quality!
Purchased size 8 in khaki for school uniform.Fit: my son is very slim, and needs to wear a belt to hold these up. At some size these no longer have the elastic strips inside to cinch them tight, which is kind of a pain, but then again we're talking about a size 8. The length is perfect, and matches his other size 8 pants of other brands. The difference with these is that they are higher waisted than say his cargos or jeans.Quality: We've had these for a few weeks now, and they've been worn and gone through the wash maybe 5-6 times so far. They were super stiff at first but are softening up some with wear/wash. The material is exactly what you'd expect from Dickies, and they feel very durable, which is great considering he tears holes in his jeans after 3-4 wears. These seem like they'll hold up well.My only complaint is the color. As you can see by my photo, their version of "khaki" has a distinct olive tone. It's not so much that he can't wear them for his uniform, but if you're purchasing them as a school uniform piece you might be better off getting the ones labeled "desert sand". Although I haven't actually seen those ones. Just a thought. (In the photo, the Dickies are bottom center. Included some white and other khakis for reference. To the left are Wranglers, on top are Cherokee, to the right are French Toast)

Tough to find the right fit
We buy a good deal of our stuff online via amazon and other places. (always looking for the best deal, you know). Clothes are hit and miss, as we have kids and sizing seems to change from manufacturer to manufacturer. Dickies is a good brand of pants (thick and able to handle the wear and tear of a kid). Our kids are at a public school that has a dress code, so it's khaki or navy bottoms for us.We ordered these pants twice for our 60lb 7-year-old. First attempt was a 7 slim. The waist was huge, and the length would have involved hem tape on our end. But not getting discouraged, we decided, ok, these definitely run a size big for the kid's age. So we ordered 6-sliim. I'd love to tell you that was the magic number, one size down, but the seller sent us 5-regulars instead. Well, I cap the returns at returning the same product twice, so we gave up and didn't try the 6-slims.I think the waste is tricky, length does probably run a bit long for the age. My advice is start with one size down first, if you consider your kid at their age roughly "average" size. These pants seemed built for a little "thicker" kid in the waste.Hope this helps you all as you try to order online. I know sizing is always tough.

Good pants
Good quality, sturdy pants. These are actually thicker than I thought they would be. I imagined them to be a thinner khaki material. Instead, they are stiffer and thicker than khakis, but not as thick as denim jeans. I needed them for my son to match my husband's outfit at our wedding and it was perfect. He even wore them one night to dinner on the cruise and looked fantastic. I will say, my son generally wears a slim.. he's tall and slim. He needed a belt with these pants, but anyone who has the battle of their child being too tall for one size and too skinny for another will know that is a battle that you fight with almost any pair of pants you buy your kid. I would say it was as expected.

Wears like iron
Our local school requires khaki or navy pants and after several years at the school we have gone through every brand imaginable. For a while we tried the soft khaki brands, but my sons just play too hard and rough for those flimsy pants. Many ripped knees later I tried Dickies and I don't think I'll buy another brand for their school pants ever again. No, they are not soft. Yes, the waist is a bit stiff. However, my kids can wear these for two days before they start looking dirty and crawl around on their hands and knees without scuffing the fabric at all. The leg length is more than generous enough for them to have a growth spurt mid-year and not leave me scrambling for longer pants out of the blue. Also, the price is more than reasonable - I can afford to buy enough pairs that I am not constantly laundering them to make it through the week. I've recommended these to all the moms at the school.

Holds up really well on an active child
These pants are made very very well. I purchased them a while ago, but held off on writing a review to see how they hold up. My son wears them at least once a week, and while they don't look brand new anymore, they don't look very worn out either, which is an accomplishment having a very active little boy wearing them. The pants feature reinforced knees, which is a must for a rambunctious, active child. They don't wear out, and it is harder for them to tear or shred it. I bought this as a uniform pants, and I have no complaints on the condition they are currently in.The hem has not shredded either, which many different brand pants are prone to do. My son really uses and abuses these pants, and by the way they have lasted so many months, I am looking forward to purchasing more of the same as we need them.

I ordered an 8 and a 10 and was glad to see a size 10
Finding white pants for boys was a challenge, especially in October. These were needed for a Colonel Sanders costume. My son is between an 8 and 10 in most brands of pants. 8 tends to be a little small and too short. I ordered an 8 and a 10 and was glad to see a size 10. Many brands do 10-12 and it's just too large. In these pants the 8 fit fine and the 10 just a little large and long. The difference between the sizes seemed right to me. They are a little stiff but are well made and the knee is reinforced.

I love the knee patches sewn inside
I purchased a few pair foe my toddler who began pre school. I love the knee patches sewn inside. the pants are made very well and fit perfect. The downside is that the color of the khakis have a hint of green to them. I first purchased 3 pair and recently purchased another 2 pair. At first I thought it was the first batch that had some kind of issue with the dye. But no that's the color. I kept them because I love the quality over all minus the color and the price was right. The kids at the school are able to wear different variations of khaki slacks. So he blends right in.

ce pantalon semble de bonne qualité mais la taille n'est pas réglable et est très large donc importable pour mon fils. le prix est cher car les frais de livraison sont énormes.
