4-3/8 inch 110mm Planer Blades 793008-8 Compatible with Makita 1912B, 1911B, 1002BA, 1805B, 1003BA - Set of 2

These are high quality planer blades. I bought them for my curved base Makita planer. I then ground a slight radius on them to create a hand hewn look to large timbers I had milled on my sawmill. After distressing the timbers with the planer, a length of chain and an orbital sander, the timbers looked 100 years old. As I recalled, these blades were less than $10. I spent about 20 minutes putting a radius on them. A timber tool company sells radius blades for the Makita planers for $100.

It was the part we needed and could not find in town. Fortunately it was available with Prime at a good price. It arrived very quickly. Very happy with the purchase.

After installing these blades in my Makita planer, I noticed that they did not sit evenly. After many attempts to adjust the blades, I finally removed them and measured from one side to the other. They are not machined evenly from front to back. Maybe the manufacturer should buy a micrometer like mine and use it before manufacturing.

Nothing like the quality of the makita blades that come with it. They are very rough cut, and are different and nit true sizes to use the makita guide for sharpening and mount . Stick with the oem ones!

These blades work perfectly they were identical the factory blades.
