OakleyMen's Ox8039 Chamfer Rectangular Prescription Eyeglass Frames

My son has had these frames for many years. These are his favorites and when he had broken them I was lucky enough to find them again here on amazon. So glad I could find them here.

I bought the Chamfer frames to replace a pair of the same that got damaged in a car accident.. the frames got destroyed, but I was able to salvage the lenses... I took the lenses to my local optometrist to have them fitted into these new frames and they didn't quite fit... I didn't mind so much since the doctor heated the frames and was able to get the lenses in... but recently the metal insert to the ear stem broke so I went to Oakley to see if they offered a replacement arm, but the glasses I have didn't have any of the serial numbers on them that I needed to look it up... I went back to my optometrist and looked at a pair of the same glasses in his case, and the ones at the doctor had all of the proper serial numbers on them...SO between the missing serial numbers, and the lenses that didn't quite fit, these are definitely counterfeit....

I bought a pair of these at my local LensCrafters after a checkup and new prescription. I've been wearing Oakleys for a number of years because I prefer the straight back earpieces instead of curving behind the ear, which I always found uncomfortable. I also like how Oakleys tend to "stick" well, so they don't slide a lot and stay on even on a rollercoaster. The pair I had was the smoke grey Marshalls and I liked them but they were always a bit big on my face and almost made me look cross eyed. So I was looking for a smaller pair of glasses and these fit the bill. However, I was struck by how light this frame is...it's probably the lightest pair of Oakleys I've ever owned. They also, initially, felt a little cheap to me, in that the whole frame seems fairly petit and flexible. However, getting over this, the core of the stems are metal which allow for flexibility and durability, and the sharp contours give the frames a nice, stealthy look without being stupidly "tactical" looking. I also like that the nosepieces are nicely integrated into the frame and help to keep the frames stuck to your face, and the pads can also be replaced when they wear out. Overall, a well thought out frame that will likely last a very long time.

Decent frames, a few days after I bought them and I sent them off to get lenses and noticed the price had dropped $50. Also my son got these frames at Costco for half the price.
