Great for Wine Filtering
These are specifically designed ONLY for sediment or small particles. There is no carbon in these. They work great! I use it in my vacuum system to filter my wine when I rack it. They can be cleaned and re-used. I run probably 100 gallons of wine through it and then throw it away. I really like my homemade wine filtering system, and these work great for me.

Too Tall for Universal
As others have noted, this filter is maybe 1/8 inch too tall for a generic filter housing. This causes the filter to crush when tightened. This likely would not effect the performance significantly and probably improves the end seal but I just don't like forcing it into the housing.

Plastic Taste
No wonder these are so cheap. Nothing but paper. No charcoal or material layers like the GE filters. Pleastic taste leeches into the water. Probably healthier with no filter at all.
