Works as it supposed to. Bright and clean brass. Haven't tried the steel media I bought. I understand is needed for cleaning primer pockets with unprimed cases. Or maybe cleaning the interior? Externally, water, detergent and several minutes of a little noise, and the cases look great.

Great purchase. Add some lemishine and some dawn dish detergent and my brass is coming out like brand new. I put folded up shamis on each side, under the tumbler to reduce noise and vibration, since I have close neighbors lol. Other than that, this is working flawlessly

Used this product with Frankfurt Armory brass polishing liquid and stainless steel pins. Brass comes out highly polished and cleaned. Even the dirtiest range brass that had been laying in my friends driveway for months came out looking like new. And it’s the cheapest wet tumbler I’ve seen anywhere. Works great!

I purchased this tumbler to clean my metal detecting finds, and it works great ! I was always using rock tumblers that cost twice as much and only hold 1- 3 pounds of total weight and those name brand unit's cost over a hundred dollars.....and don't work worth crap !!! this thing holds up to 15 pounds and works great !! I tried it out lat week for the first time I put a mason jar three quarters of the way filled with pennies and poured about 2 pounds of steel media in to it with some soap and filled with water....now make sure you tighten the lid down good or it will spill, i thought i had mine tightened good and when i turned it on it's side it started to run everywhere , thank god i was in the garage when this happened, anyway i checked the lid and found it was loose so i tightened some more and put it on the unit and turned it on ...no more leaks and i let it run for about three hours . This worked great and is definitely worth the money do your self a favor and pick one up before they are gone or the price goes up .

Yes there are other ways to clean cartridge cases but this is by far the fastes, most simple, and cost effective. It will fit several pistol cases and 2-400 rifle cases depending on size. It works best when full. A little dish soap is all you need.

Quality product for a starter in reloading. With the proper amount of cleaner and media this tumbler works great, but at a more advanced level you’ll need or want a larger basin to tumble more brass at once. Overall good product for the money!

I am not a high volume reloader so this size is perfect for me. First batch was about 100 deprimed 223 and 30 30-06 casings. I added the pins (2 Lb container), the brass, filled the drum to the base of the neck with hot water and added a healthy squirt of Dawn and 1 CC of Lemishine powder (Walmart top shelf in dish soap isle). Made sure the lid was on tight and let it tumble for a little over two hours. I put the whole unit into the laundry room tub which reduced the noise in the rest of the house. I had also purchased the media screen for dumping the water and rinsing the brass while still in the drum.. I already had a Frankford Arsenal media separator. Dumped the drum into the media separator and all of the pins fell to the bottom.. I purchased the magnet pick up tool. It is definitely worth the purchase price. Dumped the clean brass on a towel and the pins onto a paper towel. Let everything dry over night. The brass looks like new! I used a universal decapper to remove the primers. For the best looking handloads, resize before tumbling. If you are doing military brass, swage the primer pockets before tumbling. For dirty range pickup brass you may need to do a short tumble to remove dirt and grit before sizing.. By getting as much preliminary work out of the way before tumbling, the resulting finished loads will look like factory new loads. Right now, it is still late winter/early spring and the relative humidity in the house is below 50% so drying on a towel works OK. The next morning I used the magnet to pick up the dry pins and drop them into the dried drum. I am actively looking for a used dehydrator at the thrift stores so that as the humidity rises in the warm months, I can successfully dry the brass in a reasonable amount of time. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase and glad I bought the extras.

I used to use an ultrasonic cleaner, but was limited to about 100 cases and while the carbon residue was mostly gone, the brass remained dull. Also, we have VERY hard water here, so I had to buy filtered water. It became a real pain to use, so I got the Frankford Tumbler. I've done 500 .45 cases in one batch. They were old and had been used many times and looked old. After 30-45 minutes, I removed the brass - Ooo! Shiny!Just don't overload it. It is a tumble cleaner and if the is too much in there, the contents do not tumble properly. That means water as well as brass. Also, if you reload different calibers, don't mix them in the tumbler. The smaller cases end up inside the larger cases and neither gets as clean as it should. It is better if you can deprime first, but for most reloaders, that is not very workable.
