Smilex Grey & White Handle Ultrasonic Toothbrush Replacement Brush Heads - Medium / 2 Count

I am a devoted Ultreo user and I would happily buy another (as the battery is not holding full charge) if they were still in business. So my comments are by way of comparison. The Smilex seems to have a less vigorous brushing action, so that is disappointing. The Smilex is programed for a 3 minute brushing cycle, while most U.S. electric brushes use a 2 minute cycle; there is no discussion of why this done in the owners manual. I sure hope that isn't related to the less vigorous brushing action. The brush head is slightly less bulky, which allows better access to the inside, lower front teeth which I like since this has been a problem area for me in the past. I was surprised to learn that the Smilex recommends a normal manual brushing action rather than relying solely on the automated brushing action; I find that unusual for an electric brush. I have had the Smilex for a couple of weeks and I am using it intermittently with my dying Ultreo for comparison. I guess there is no way of knowing if the Smilex is effective until I visit my dentist after discontinuing Ultreo, but Amzaon is asking for a review, so these are my first impressions.

I debated on how many stars to give these replacement toothbrushes. They're good and fit my Smilex Ultrasonic toothbrush without any problems, but the brushes are very firm. There was not a choice of firm, medium, or soft brushes; it appears there was just the one size fits all. The original toothbrushes were not anywhere near as firm as these. You just need to be careful when you use these.

Good after oral surgery, or for sensitive gum situations.About 1/3rd the power of a Phillips. More critical is what are you doing to clean between your teeth?

Again, I made a mistake in buying the Smilex toothbrush.

Not doing what I expected, but will use it a little longer & give it a fair try!

I have used other Soni-care toothbrushes but this one is the best and I have actually noticed my teeth are whiter after using for about 4 months I would recommend.
