Vintage Portuguese Traditional Clay Terracotta Casserole With Lid Made In Portugal Cazuela (N.5 12" Diameter)

The clay pot that I received was even prettier than the one pictured. The pattern was slightly different and more attractive. It is truly a piece of art. I purchased the large pot because I planned on making "Sunday Gravy" or “Sugo” as some call it for my American/Italian husband. I needed something large enough to hold pork necklines, Italian sausage, meatballs, and beef. Since this has to cook for hours, I wanted a pot that was traditional and beautiful sitting on the stove. I have my diffuser and I went for it. I soaked the pot for 12 hours per the instructions that came with the pot and I had no issues with cracking or breakage. I’m super thrilled. I plan on also buying a casserole dish of the same brand to make lasagna. I highly recommend this product if you enjoy traditional cookware.

I used it for large gatherings and beautiful presentation

Followed directions. Soaked for 8 hours. Unfortunately it cracked on the first use. Very disappointed as I love the design and beautiful hand work painted on. But now I can’t use :(

I purchased a N.3 with lid. Be sure to soak your pot before first use as outlined in sellers description. I liked this one pot enough to purchase several other matching pieces, 2 of which are more pots. I am looking forward to preparing “comfort food” once the season change. Although the pot is glazed, as with my stainless steel pots, I clean the inside bottom with Barkeep Friend. This extra step will keep your food from sticking. This is a Great pot for cooking dry bagged beans. I’ve had no issues while cooking on my gas stove with direct contact to fire. I DO recommend this purchase. Sooooo pretty and great to display on countertop. I have 3 more on the way. Cookware is exactly as pictured.

We have used this product about a month and the bottom has already cracked. To expensive if it's only gonna last a month

It’s a good pot came in perfect condition. But was small to my expectations.. don’t make the mistake and read properly before you choose .
