Cheap
This isn't worth $17.99, maybe $7.99. Had a lot of trouble fitting the top on. This is going to be annoying every time I have to change the bag to fidget with the top. Also the flip top goes all the way around, so most of the time when you toss something it won't flip back to closed it will stay upside down. It's not worth it. But also not worth my time returning since I luckily have this in a room I don't use often.

Cant ask for more.
Most of the negative reviews on this trashcan seem to revolve around the fact that it is not a self-emptying trash can. So be warned if you buy this trashcan you will on occasion have to empty it. Other than that one design flaw I have to say this is perfect under desk trashcan. Oh and once in a while, you may need to take a fraction of a second out of your day, use your finger, and flip the lid straight.

it’s just “Ehh..”
wayyy smaller than expected, but that’s my own fault since the description includes measurements. weird lid you kind of have to fuss with to get in on securely. my initial plan was to use it in the kitchen but it’s more for a bedroom or office. not really worth $17.99 but i’m still avoiding the outside world (i could’ve just gone to a 99cent store) so i guess i’ll keep my expensive, small, disappointing bin.

Great for under sink recycling
Bought this to keep under sink for my recyclables. It’s just me so the size is great for one week of bottles/cans. I line it with small plastic bag to keep the muck out. The swing top keeps it all out of view. Fits under sink next to my larger trash can perfectly.

Awkward
Just awkward and hard to keep the lid right side up. Good design idea, just doesn’t work to well. Easy to knock over under the sink. That’s about it.

"Kitchen" is a bit misleading
It's not tall enough for me to consider it a kitchen trash can. More for a desk or bedside. My niece told me her 4 year old son wanted a can w/a lid (go figure) and he really loved this.
