The plastic stem the nozzle attaches to on the cap was broken and still in the nozzle as shown in the pictures. What was off was the tube being stretched, I don't know if this would've affected it in anyway, but doesn't really matter considering the nozzle. The bottle itself seems to be decently sturdy, but overall the design for the nozzle should be considered a little more carefully.
