This is far superior in rigidity and weight. Some other reviews mentioned it being too difficult to open, which I have not found to be true. It is very sturdy and will not release easily (unintentionally) from your workpiece or welding table. I chose this clamp over others because it does not feature a crimp-style attachment to the cable. It is simply a set screw that can be backed up and easily replace the cable. I would definitely get this again if I needed to replace another clamp. This one probably won't ever need to be replaced. Review: Great performance, feel, look and value. - Put it on my miller 220 multi and the difference was immediately notable. Sold build, strong springs, definitely built to last.
