Exact fit
These are an exact replacement for the original. I wanted another one so I can just swap out the full one for an empty one so I can let the ones still alive die off.

Nice to have as a spare - don't imagine why you would need to replace it
I bought this replacement net to have as a spare so I could just swap them out when I changed propane tanks. When I first bought my Mosquito Magnet I noticed that when the net got full and I needed to dump it out there were always a few live Mosquitoes in the trap in addition to the huge pile of dead ones. I really did not want to practice "catch and release" on these pests I had tried so hard to catch so it only made sense to have a spare on hand so I could pull out the full one and give it a day or two for the remaining live bugs to die before dumping it. Do you have to have a spare? No, not really. Does it ever need to be replaced? If you punch a hole in it or run over it with a lawnmower, yes. But I really don't see how it would ever wear out as long as you treated it with the respect plastic parts deserve. Over time the screen will get full of pollen etc so a blast of air or from the hose is really all the cleaning I ever do.

bye bye mosquito!
This machine works. We have actually noticed a big differencein the amount of mosquitoes we are seeing. The filter is showingthe results. We live in the suburbs and feel the neighbors arealso benefiting from this magnet.

Works perfectly!
This was a warehouse damaged item. I’m not sure what the damage is. Maybe something cosmetic. Anyway, it’s an important element of our Mosquito Magnet and the price was so right!

I thought I needed a new net
I took a look at the net in my Defender the other day and it looked dirty, worn out, and just plain used. I found this item on Amazon at a really good price; $20 bucks cheaper than some other sites. I received the item promptly and immediately replaced my "old" net with no interruption in mosquito catching. One of the other reviews said that the nets were washable (they weren't on my Liberty). I tried washing it and was amazed at how clean I was able to get it. I'm glad I have a spare, but now, I'm not sure I needed one.

Bought damaged box 1 and I couldn't notice anything wrong ...
Bought damaged box 1 and I couldn't notice anything wrong at all with it. If I ever find more for less than $2 I'm going to buy them all up

Failure to seal allows mosquitoes to escape.
While a nice idea, I have 2 mosquito magnet patriots, and both, the nets don't seal properly to the slot they fit in. This means as the vacuum is created, mosquitoes get sucked down the edges of the net, as well as down into the net. It's difficult to say how much this is impacting the kill rate... but it's decimated the gather rate on one unit (which never fills despite the constant presence of mosquitoes); the other unit has less of a problem, but there are still build-ups of mosquitoes along the edges of the filter showing the problem exists with that unit as well.I have tried using electrical tape to create a gasket, however, have not yet had a chance to determine whether this is helpful or not.

works great
I buy a new one of these every year though last year I had to use two of them because there were so many skeeters, they actually gummed up the netting. Works great, and I love my Magnet (we have the Patriot).
