As soon as I took it out of the box my Argentino dad said “what’s that supposed to be?”It’s ceramic and not double insulated so it gets quite hot to the touch. Something to consider with very hot water.The mouth of the gourd is also very small, so the hot water from the thermos doesn’t always make it into the gourd and might spill onto your hand.It’s also difficult to aim the hot water to one side of the Yerba mate if you want to drink it the correct, traditional way without wetting the all the leaves.It’s very deep despite how small it is - so you need a good amount of mate to fill up the wide bottom part. And you’ll need a long-ish bombilla (mEtAl sTrAw) for it.But… it’s pretty. ### ⭐⭐ Not appropriate to use for hot Mate *by C***S on July 27, 2023* The ceramic cup is too thin so the heat from the hot water burns your hand.
