Decent camera--but not exceptional
An ok camera-nothing wrong with it but nothing out of the ordinary. Takes decent pictures most of the time. A few shots always seem to come out blurred--maybe 10% of the time. No big deal with scenery etc- just take another shot-but with pictures of animals and such it can be disappointing. Not unhappy with the camera--but there are better for slightly more money. I leave this in my car just in case I see something worthy of a picture. For a lower priced camera that takes quality photos most of the time--it's not a bad deal--just don't have your expectations too high Pictures are pretty good quality except for the random blurring--auto focus can be a little on the slow side--not too good for action shots. I'd buy it again--for what it costs it performs well and meets the needs for which I purchased it. I'd recommend rechargeable batteries--while regular batteries last a while--it's worth the money to have ones that can be recharged-course you'll need a charger too. Probably a good camera for someone just beginning to take a serious interest in photography.

Decent camera
I've been using this for about 2 months now, and here are my thoughts. The biggest problem I have with this camera is the blurriness. At first I thought it was just the view screen, because it is terribly low resolution, but its the actual pictures once downloaded. It does fine in conditions with lots of light, but indoor and afternoon/ night photos almost always come out slightly blurry, regardless of settings. It even happens sometimes when it is set down with a timer! Very frustrating. I only paid $130 but if I had paid the full retail I would have returned it already. My next biggest complaint is the zoom. I was exstatic to find a 26X zoom on such a relatively cheap camera, but its so fast and jumpy! The shortest tap sends it about 3 or 4 times further than you would reasonably expect, and it takes a full second or two to actually start zooming once the button is pressed.Everything else about this camera is great, i spent 20 bucks on rechargeable batteries which last longer than I expected, especially since battery life seems to be the biggest complaint in reviews.Overall, I would say you definitely don't want this camera if you want to take quick, good pictures without messing with settings, but if you're on a budget and want a camera capable of taking great pictures with a bit of effort, this is the one for you!

piece of junk
est. 75% of pics are so blurry they r worthless. shutter speed seems to be about 2 or more sec. regardless of settings. auto is worthless as it reset the zoom to blurry after you zoom it where you want it. THIS LOOKS LIKE A GOOD CAMERA BUT IT ISNT!!!!!.....DONT GET SUCKERED. I wish I had used mine enough in time to send it back. I am very very disappointed. I will never buy another Nikon nor will I buy a camera on amazon. go buy it at a store so you know what you r getting. don't get a pig in a poke like I did. lesson learned

excellent camera
Great camera for someone looking for a full auto. I shoot for a magazine and total auto fits perfectly. I do not need to do anything except pull up the flash when needed. Pictures are fabulous. Clear and sharp. Cons are - no forced flash and sometimes that is needed to fill in darker images in sunlight and shutter is just a bit slow.

Battery life
The camera was good and worked very well, but the battery life is very very bad. After getting the product and putting in brand new AA batteries, after 5 min of usage it said “battery exhausted”. Again then went to buy brand new batteries and again after a few minutes of usage, the batteries were exhausted. The product itself was great quality and didn’t feel or looked used at all but I cannot get over the horrible battery life usage.

You get what you pay for.
Focus is terrible and it feels like if you dont have it on a tripod the picture is blurry.
