21st Century Calcium Citrate + D3 Petites Coated Tablets 200 ea

Purchase these for my dad because the regular calcium tablets are humongous. This was comparably petite to the Citracal petites. However, these are round and smaller, but they’re super thick so it’s almost like swallowing a block. Unfortunately, my dad didn’t have his easier time with these as the Citracal petite which are oval and not as thick. With these being a good price, I really hoped they would be the ticket. We’re going to go ahead and use the ones we have, but I won’t be purchasing again. If only they could make these in a oval share that are easier to swallow for elderly people, it would be perfect.

Attached is a picture with other brands next to this one. I've circled this calcium petites brand and included a US currency dime for size reference. My biggest concern was that my 81-year-old father who is vision impaired as well as has dementia would not be able to comfortably take this medicine. I was very happy to see that the size is indeed swell enough that he has no problem taking it and there is no yucky taste as well. I and my children also take them so a variety of ages in our home are able to take it. It's easy to swallow. There's no gritty weird texture. I've never been able to stay consistent with taking calcium because the pills were just so big and difficult and just unenjoyable to take and yet a woman of my age. I definitely needs to stay on top of taking my calcium and so I'm really happy that I found this product and so far I'm very pleased and I will continue to purchase this. It is by far the smallest and easiest calcium that I have yet found and it also includes D3 which is always an added bonus.

These are quite large tablets and thick as well. Hard to swallow. Not coated very well to help them go down my throat.

I've been taking these same pills for a long time and I can't remember having such a hard time swallowing them until recently. I could be wrong but I feel like they changed the shaped. I can hardly swallow them now. Currently looking for something new to take.

I had gastric bypass in 2006 and have taken calcium Citrate with vit d3 ever since. This 21st Century product is the best value and the "petites" are easier to swallow than the oblong variety.

Sadly these are definitely not petite, their odd shape makes them even harder to get a comfortable position to swallow were i don’t feel like I’m gonna gag or coke. I do like how the calcium has the assist of D3 to help it absorb.

Love the D3 Petites coated tablets! Had run out and had to fall back on another brand's HUGE tablets and I dreaded every time I had to take another dose. Although these aren't exactly small, they're much easier to swallow for those of us with an issue swallowing large pills. Is also easier on my stomach than calcium carbonate. On the negative side, I do find both forms of calcium a bit 'binding', but I guess that's a small price to pay for stronger bones.
