Are the letters themselves magnetic, or do they have a small magnet glued on to them?

They have small magnets glued to them.

Are these galt alphabet letters soft or hard plastic

Sorry, I can't be absolutely sure. I bought this as a present for someone's child. As they use the letters on the fridge as well as on a magnetic board, I assume that they are hard plastic. I bought this particular set because it is the script that the child's school uses. There are other scripts, and should be checked before purchase.
