Love this for craft shows and farmers market where I sell soaps and candles. Rustic wood frame matches my display. Chalkboard isn’t old fashioned slate but a board with chalkboard surface. Seems solid like it won’t buckle over time.I primed it with colored chalk provided, not sure if required. I drew guidelines in chalk for lettering and drew with chalkboard marker. It came out bright blue and white. Let paint sit overnight and wiped away the chalk lines with dry chamise. Lettering stayed! Decided to change something, so I simply wiped away marker with wet chamise. Came right off. Only issue would be if it rained at my show— paint might run.Very pleased with this purchase. I hope surface holds up over time and doesn’t buckle. It was packaged well, no damage, arrived quickly. It’s lightweight enough to haul to shows. Would recommend this board to anyone.

It’s a very nice chalkboard. In the description it states the writing surface is 20 x 22. That is the only reason I bought it. I just received the chalkboard and the writing surface is about 16 x 20. Very disappointing.

Going to use for a baby shower we are having in a conference room of our local community college--perfect for attendees to locate the door for the event!

It's a little smaller than we expected, but we probably didn't look closely at the size specs. Otherwise it's great quality and works well!
