It features a power adapter and supports multi-camera expandability, allowing you to monitor multiple areas of your home. Note that this unit cannot be paired with the newer V24R model or used as an additional parent unit. ## Description IMPORTANT: Two Parent Units cannot be paired to the same camera/s - this unit is only a replacement and should not be purchased/used as a second/additional parent unit to your existing monitor To pair this new Parent Unit to your existing camera/s, follow the procedure below: Note: Before you begin pairing, be sure to have the Baby and Parent Units side by side and turned on. On the Parent Unit press the MENU/Exit key and the menu screen will be displayed. Press the LEFT key or RIGHT key until the camera icon is highlighted in red then press UP key or DOWN key to select the desired camera to pair. Press OK key to start the pairing. Camera icon will start flashing searching for the camera to be paired with. While the icon is flashing, press and hold the PAIR button in the back of Baby Unit until the connection is established. Once paired, an image from the paired camera will display on the screen. If unsuccessful, please repeat above steps. Press the MENU/Exit key to Exit. Note: If there is more than one camera to be paired, repeat the above steps for each camera individually. CAMERA VIEW - SWITCHING BETWEEN THE PAIRED CAMERAS: This function is only available when two or more cameras are paired. The following steps should be performed on the Parent Unit: Press OK key to switch the view to the next paired camera. On the top of the LCD display you will see the number of the camera it is connected to. Do not try switching between the cameras through the menu, as it is intended for Pairing purposes only. Use the OK button instead. AUTOMATIC SCAN (LOOP) MODE: You can also chose the SCAN (loop) mode and each paired camera will be displayed on the screen for 10 seconds and then the screen will automatically change to the next paired camera. It turns out the new unit has a different power cord than the old one (round plug-in on new unit vs. micro USB plug-in on old unit). We had previously purchased an extra power cord for the old unit so we could recharge the parent unit both upstairs and downstairs in our house without moving the cord around, but since the old cords no longer worked with the new unit, we were stuck with just one cord now. I emailed the company's customer support asking if we could buy another cord, and within just a couple of hours I received a reply. They hadn't yet made the new cord available for individual sale but they would be delighted to send us an additional cord *free of charge*. This company is a joy to work with. I’m sure but at what cost. How much more do you need than to simply hear and be able to see you child/children? I found this to be the perfect platform to not only add cameras but their customer service is truly amazing. And I’m not just saying that. I’ve had two of the parent units go out within 6 months of each other. The first was due to wear on the power plug connection. They replaced it with an upgraded version no problem. Let me note that is to no fault of theirs. We literally use our monitor all the time. But they were happy I replace the unit. Now unit may have been a bit of a fluke. But once again, no questions asked, they were happy to take care of escapes in quality. As a consumer I appreciate that. And for where they’re competing in the baby monitor market, I feel like they’re the best. Trust me. I ordered our Babysense monitor after buying a more expensive one that after some research I foud had a lot of issues. Our Babysense monitor is perfect. The range, the clarity...we love it! A few days ago I went to turn on my parent monitor and the screen was pixilated so I could only hear. I called Babysense and went through a couple of steps to determine if it could be fixed and when it could not a new one was sent out immediately at no cost to me. I am so impressed. I have told all my new mom and expecting mom friends not to buy the more expensive video monitors!
