Sturdy and well made.
This is very well made.My friends kept telling me I wouldn't like a garlic press, and that they were hard to clean. I didn't find that it was that hard to clean. After I crushed the garlic, it did get stuck in the little holes where it was pushed through, but I used a sharp knife to scrape it off and it worked like a champ. I turned it over and used my finger to scoop out the inside, I had plenty of garlic and it was finely minced. It rinsed clean with no issue.I like the peeler too, it helped to keep most of the garlic peel off my hands.I put both the press and peeler in my dishwasher silverware tray and it came out great. There are hooks on the ends of the press. There were no issues with my arthritic hands to squeeze the handles together.Love this, I've wanted one for so long. Buy it!

Great Garlic Press for My Needs !
This is a good garlic press, metal is heavy and appears quite durable. Arrived promptly and seller followed up with an email. The sleeve roller does peel the garlic well, but it's a bit fiddly to clean all the garlic skin off it afterward. The press takes a littlemuscle to press the garlic through [I am not the strongest kid on the block these days] but that may be because it holds a good amount [more than one average clove], so the trick may be to not overload it. I don't like the final cleaning of it however.....may just be the nature of the beast, but to get all the tiny pieces of minced garlic out takes a little time. All in all, it's a good sturdy press and that matters most. It does what it should do, make perfectly minced garlic, and doesn't look like it will fall apart anytime soon. I do appreciate the followup email by the seller.

I still could not get over the superior customer service provided to me by UberChef
I still could not get over the superior customer service provided to me by UberChef. I contacted them regarding my garlic press that happened to be that one of the ends are loose and I also attached a picture of the defective product together with my e-mail. Right away, I was e-mailed back with an apology and immediately sent me a replacement within two days with no such hesitation and questions asked. They really stand by their great service! I wish a prosperous future for this small company.Regarding the product itself, I love that it is of good quality and it has a premium feel. I tried the replacement I got and the results are great. The best garlic press I've ever had!If you have any concerns or your product is defective, don't hesistate to contact them and send them a picture. They will be more than happy to help you out.

Good for my purposes to speed up prepping garlic
Have tried it for about a week now and so far so good. Solid construction. For my general purposes I only do about 1 clove at a time and then rinse and it washes easily by hand (have not done a large quantity yet in one sitting so have to hold off on that feedback for now). I did get some stray pulped garlic pieces along the edges and inside the perforated basket area but can easily just flick them out/loosen them with a fingernail or small knife. It can get a bit harder for me to squeeze the handles if the garlic placed inside is on the large-side or I try to fit in a couple of pieces (as expected) -- best if piece is small enough to fit comfortably without taking up all the space inside (if clove is on the large-side I cut in half before inserting into basket). I do have petite hands so it may work more easily with average and larger hands but otherwise it's not a big deal for me.

easy to use
This press is well-made, easy to use, easy to clean, and capable of processing several cloves at once. Since just about all dinners at our house involve garlic, it gets a work-out. I bought it to replace a press whose handle came apart after many years of use. (The handle of the old one was half metal and half plastic; the plastic wasn't a structural element but was supposed to make gripping easier. It eventually detached from the rest of the device.) Now that I have this press, I can't believe that I stuck with the other one for so many years. (It had been a gift.) The old one wasn't terrible, but this one is so superior that using garlic a breeze, and it speeds up my time in the kitchen a bit, too. The silicone sleeve does a great job removing the skin.

Still searching for the perfect garlic press
I was replacing a pampered chef garlic press that I really liked with this. The pampered chef one is older and the coating is coming off. Must be non-stick covered or painted. Either way it was time to replace.Bottom line: I wish I had bought another pampered chef one even though it wasn't stainless.Details: I bought this after reading the rave reviews. I have just used this press for garlic and nothing else. First off what I like: It is stainless and looks good. What I don't like. It is more flimsy side to side than my previous pampered chef press. Also this one is harder to clean, as it has the little basket part in addition the the handles. The basket part is folded metal at the end and garlic is forever getting caught in the gap of metal and is a little chore to get out. The pampered chef press is a single molded piece, so there is not basket and no seams or gaps for garlic to get caught in and was much easier to clean. I think most of the other reviews here are the company sending free samples for reviews. Not that the negates the reviews, just something to keep in mind. A perfect press would be the pampered chef one in stainless. Anyone know where I can get one of those.
